Finally pulled the trigger on a lift!

After a couple years of BSing i finally decided on a lift. I’m going with ome 885s and 5100s up front and dakar leaf packs and 5100s in the rear. Anyone running this same thing I would appreciate your feedback.

 

If you don't have a lot of heavy shit on your ass end. Remove the top overload leaf before installing.. Replace the Dakar eye bushing that is pre installed ,or come with, to a nice set or bushings . You need two sets, one front and rear .. Gl

How much weight? You could always go back and remove later... I only have a spare, it's a tiny bit rough, not bad but had I known I would have removed before

Can you post a link for the 885's and dakars that you are using for the 3 inch lift, i already have 5100's in the front and rear

If we are not talking about Add a Leaf:
The new Dakars come in two versions, Medium and Heavy. With Medium, there isn't a leaf to be removed anymore, and they are "good" up to 600 lbs constant weight. So I've researched thus far...
Then there is an additional leaf you can buy to convert to heavier use.

Make sure you speak to your vendor about what I've mentioned above. As far as I've looked into it, it were older Dakars that a 3rd leaf was removable.

I believe when it settles it will be more of a 2” lift. Coil springs part number is 2885
The dakars are EL095r

Shit, you are absolutely right. I forgot about the changes.. Op what leaf pack did you get? Old style HD, MD?

 

My truck is Canadian so it comes with 4 leaf springs already, which is the same as the TSB in the states, would that be any higher?

They said it should settle to around 2” up front and 2.75” rear. So I will still be close to factory rake.

 

Lifting your tuck is the best part of owning one! I hear nothing but good things about the bilstein 5100s!

 

I have the same set up but with the new dealer recall packs and wheelers add a leaf. It sits perfectly even, even after the Demello bumper install. Combined with wheelers super bumps, it rides like a dream now.
