Bed bars with tonneau cover that relocates rails

Anyone rigged up some bed bars with a tonneau cover that relocates the bed rails?

I really want to run something like these, but figured I'd see if anyone else has done so too.

I have the extang encore and it moves the rails down and inward a little bit.

I was thinking maybe cut a notch into the drainage rail and have them go thru it, then maybe I can bolt the bed bar bracket to the back side of the bed rails. Then cause the thickness of the bracket, I'd have to replace the weather stripping with something thicker all the way around

So I had a Bakflip G2 cover on my truck. It relocated the rails. I purchased a Front Runner bed load bar system to mount my tent.

Hated it. The rail system was not strong and moved around a ton. Made tons of noise as well. Would not recommend.

 

Because the relocated rails were weaker or because of the front runner product itself?

 

The way the rails got relocated, they were not flush with the bed like before. So they could move around a bit with the load bars and tent. A light tent at that.
