Tacoma - OVTUNE - VFTUNER - Update Info and Original Development

Is the S gear lockout part of the ECU or TCU flash? I’m having issues when driving between 40-45 mpg. The RPMs are 1500-1700 and truck acts like it doesn’t know what it wants to do. It feels like the ass drops out and starts chugging. Above or belies those speeds are fine and unfortunately I’m at those speeds often. I have tried every driving option. D (goes to 5th and does it)S4(does it)ECT D(does it) and so does ECT in S4.
I have stock tires& wheels, K&N intake, and ultraflo SS exhaust. Any ideas? I love the rest.

 

Ive been lurking this thread for quite some time and even purchased the tune. You mentioned in an earlier post to contact you via email but it has been several days now and no responce. It seems im not the only one having this issue. I do recall a post saying “shipping this week” but what everyone is asking for is a specific day. We all expect a responce via email not this forum. Just my two cents its unprofessional making fun of/teasing your customers.. i say this with good intent and i am lookig forward to the tune.

 

I don't make fun of anyone. Everyone is in here making jokes, I very rarely, if ever join in on joking about anything.


I will double check my email because I have responded to everyone so far ( except today ) about their pre orders.

I give expected timelines based on when the tools are suppose to arrive to me, quoted by the suppliers. If they are late or there is a shipping delay it's outside of my control.
I've been preparing boxes since yesterday.


I think now is a good time to take a break from the forum.

I sent an e-mail too, on Thursday, no response. Not a big deal as you answered it in this thread, but just wanted to point out it wasn't just his e-mail that was missed. I can appreciate how busy you are and the stress of dealing with demanding customers, just like you can appreciate that people are excited to get their tune and not had $700 floating out there.

 

i guess i need to go back thru the whole thread to find the answer as to when my tune will ship?
or can someone enlighten me?

 

Well based off his previose post and recent. He said he was shipping all the orders “this week” but his recent post implys he does not even have the dongles in hand. Usps is closed on sundays, so its most likely not shipping this week unless he uses another carrier. So back to square one, no shipping date. Hope i helped.

 

Come on guys give him a fricken brake! This guy has done some magic for all of us 3rd gen owners! He is doing the job of a dozen workers. What do you want him to do sit around answering questions or reading every post? Hell no! You want him to get the best tune for us as he can! We will all get shipping notice and emails answered in good time ! Yes i am waiting on mine also. But l am not beating him up over shipping times or response times ! Why dont you take this waiting period in read through all the post you might find your answer faster . With all that said WERE THE HELL IS MY SHIPPING DATE!!!! JUST KIDDING

Still have not received shipping info for my turbo setup. OP PLZ EMAIL TRACKING #.

 

just because you know all the annswers doesnt mean everybody does. my tune was $814 because i paid $44 for overnight or second day i can't remember. i do not mind that he is busy and i respect and appreciate his good works. i simply want A answer. even if it "you won't receive your tune for several weeks because we are really busy and awaiting parts. we apologize for the delay"

If thats for the twin Turbo setup, Mat emailed me he is having trouble with delivery of the Twin Dongles so its in a holding pattern!

 

Oh i dont have any of the answers i just have been watching and reading this thread and i know how this thing plays out once ordered!Believe me there is a lot of guys who can attest to the order process! Just hang in there you will get everything and you wont be getting ripped off your 814$'s . I think we all need a group hug hear or maybe a support group!

 

Now if you want to unload on someone go to that Mesojdm Ultimate Brake Light thread now that guy could use a good tongue lashing!

 

As I've said I do have most but also said in this thread an additional 30x as well.

Everything non international is shipped by UPS.

When the kits are all ready to be shipped you all will get tracking numbers.

If your email to me is "when will this ship, will I get a tracking, has this already shipped" understand I have people whom I am walking through and doing their trucks remotely, along with troubleshooting. So there are other people being helped too.
This is why it says "pre order" in the name..

Ordering overnight shipping on a pre-order doesn't get you it faster.


As far as anything related to development and Toyota, drop the subject it has nothing to do with the tacoma.

Regarding getting your order before XYZ.
1. I have email access while out of the country
2. All orders ship before that time
3. Nobody will be left waiting days,weeks, etc for anything

For people who have been patient through this, thank you.

 

I think its reasonable for people to be curious with whats going on with their order. Most of us realize pre-order is just that. I think its reasonable to shoot out an email or quick response here stating that you're working on orders (which you've recently done) just to ease the masses. It is almost $800 of their money out there =-)

 

So I was going to reply to his post that the "E" in ETA stood for estimated, but the post disappeared. This seems to have been happening a lot recently. Is this MODS deleting posts or users deleting on their own?

Despite the fact that there are many happy customers out there, this stuff is all very bleeding edge. Matt is the ONLY person/company offering tuning for this platform. It only just became possible because of the work he has put into it. I realize we are in a "push button" society where we expect everything to be available/possible with one simple button press, but that isn't reality.

In addition, Matt supports many other vehicles/platforms. I am sure he also has many orders from people that are not active on these forums. Driving him away is not helping anyone.

Joking around is fine, but the Idiocy going on here is not likely to make him want to participate in the forum.
