So why did you ever even consider the Off Road, seems like a waste making repetitive threads when you had your heart set on a Sport?

 

This whole experience has been very circular.

 

Apparently you don’t understand how an apr tune puts much more added torque on vw’s clutches and it’s a known thing. Has nothing to do with not being a good manual driver or abusing the clutch.

 

I feel like the pretty girl with a brain (sport) getting ganged up on at a bar by ugly OR guys that are old and creepy but have a good stable boring job and appreciate the outdoors.

 

Because you off road guys preached about how far superior the OR is. When In reality it’s a diff strokes for diff folks thing.

 

Never did that, we explained the differences and told you to test drive them both and get the one that best fits you.

Here's a nugget kid, I also have a modified sports car but smart modders know that if you're going to turn up the fun, you better have enough clutch to do it before. If it's a known issue you did two things , either ignored it (like the advice given here for truck buying) or you didn't research it very much (again like you do here).

My clutch still works despite doubling the factory rwhp and torque.

Looking forward to the thread about how you hate the ride of your sport and are looking to lift it.

And I did know I’d need a new clutch eventually. I just was holding off as the clutch still has life to it.

Isn't the sport pretty much just an SR5 with a scoop? Are the shocks different? I'd argue regardless that the sport is more comparable to the SR5 than the OR anyways.

 

And I love “didn’t research enough” guys. Actually I did. But when you read 1-2 year old posts and they are never exactly the info you need... it’s ok in my book to ask away, forum police. Get a life.
