GMC Sierra vs Silverado sales are the exact opposite north of the border. The gmc by far out sells the Chevy up here. Not sure why you're comparing just the Sierra when the Silverado sales are basically the same truck. They, combined (as I think they should be) blow the Tacoma out of the water.

Full size trucks appeal to far more people, sales don't lie. You can get more truck for same money, if not cheaper.
Full disclaimer, I own a Tacoma and a 4runner, so don't get all upset

That's where you are wrong. Your reality can be anything. I just don't let crap get to me. Sometimes losing some money is not a bad thing if it gets rid of a problem, and it sounds like this truck is your problem. It's just a truck. Nothing more, nothing less.

It's more. I don't know how much a dollar means to you but it means a lot to me. I don't know how much you value your time but to me my free time is important. I don't need to be losing thousands in a matter of weeks. I shouldn't be spending hours at dealerships trying to fix issues with a new vehicle or trying to not get totally boned on a trade.

Toyota completely blindsided me and there is no acceptance, accountability, or willingness to assist. I have no real recourse and it feels bad.

"It's just a truck." Well yeah. No one actually needs to buy a new truck. But when you do you expect better than what I'm getting. Sorry if you don't like how I express my dissatisfaction and utter lack in confidence for the 3rd gen but show me the rules that state we all have to kiss Toyota's ass in every thread and I'll be on my way.

My point? Every. Single. Thread. You don't have to post your problems in every thread when the topic is totally different. That's my point.

The Sierra is usually ranked 4th out of all trucks both (both mid-size and full size). I compared the annual numbers for both the Sierra and Tacoma, and it doesn't like the the Tacoma has outsold the Sierra in that 10 years at least.

Having the Tacoma outsell a full size domestic Truck for FY 2018 would be insane. I didn't think that would be possible.

If the Tacoma outsold just one of the domestic Full Size trucks, I would consider that a milestone.

Two months doesn't make a year, and it's still selling better than the first gen. I highly doubt Honda is going to pack it in two years in.

Sounds like the dude could get a good deal on a GMC right about now due to slumping sales...

Yeah, I'm pretty sure what his problem is and it ain't the transmission...

I made a relevant comment. I seriously do not think Toyota's reputation can ensure this kind of complete indifference to what their customers want. Word of transmission issues is making it's way around to non-Tacoma owners and given more time Toyota's reputation and market value of their stuff may take a deserved hit.

I'm not just popping in to say "Oh fuck guys my truck shifts like a wet bag of shit, grrr" but apparently that's all you're getting out of any post I make.

As crazy already said, comparing those two means nothing. They’re not in a competing market. It’s like saying the Civic doubled Tacoma sales. Who cares?

More appropriate comparison would be the Sierra to Tundra.
