I’d never pay that. You can build one cheaper. I’ve got less than that in mine with leather.

Maybe someone can correct me if I'm wrong but I believe that is Insain Fabrication's front bumper. Local Colorado company does good stuff. Seen it in person a couple times

All the tacomas i see on the lots have pro comp wheels and 3” suspension for the low low upgrade price of only $7,999.

How does this affect warranty? Can they try to dodge warranty work that might come up by saying that the modifications voided warranty...even though they modded it?

So, if Toyota does cover it’s suspension and needle spring warranty, it would be great to ask the dealer and get a response in writing, because if it is true, all of us do it yourselfers and those of us who had our own suspension lifts done elsewhere with many of the same parts they’ve used have a pretty good chance of showing how our similar lift mods should’nt be cause for voiding such a warranty.

What is this factory warranty you speak of when the dealer modded it with the same non-Toyota parts many of us have used?

Really curious if the factory will cover the mods, as it could mean they can’t refuse the same warranty coverages for us doing similar mods elsewhere.

Not only that but it wouldn't be a 3+ month wait time on aftermarket parts either. This truck is for someone who knows what they want, has money to spend, and doesn't want to waste time waiting on fab shop parts to arrive over the course of a years time.

How I understand it is that the selling dealer would be responsible for any repairs that Toyota would not cover due to the modifications. During the normal warranty period. At least that’s how this particular dealer handles it. And I am 99% that they would put it in writing. Now obviously you would need to take it to them or if you were traveling they would need to approve repairs. And I have never heard of them not standing behind anything they have sold.

Sounds like a good thing- its a pretty good bet nothing will go wrong with it anyway- thats why most decide that the risk is minimal to DIY or go elsewhere for the work.

You can always build cheaper than what a dealer will charge. You are missing $3000 in bumpers and sliders though so I’d hope you have spent less since you have less.

Yeah I guess it wouldn't be factory warranty, but I imagine that parts put on by a dealer are covered in some way?
