    Not to the Champion yet...still need to bolt mine in, but to the toyota 2.7l radiator I swapped to(same core height and dimensions as champion) Champion and toyota radiator have the same size outlets.

    According to a quick rock auto reference, there are at least two lower radiator hoses for a 3.4. one is 13"s and the other is 11". I wonder if the shorter one will work?

    I'm pretty sure Toyota put a 3.4 in the 5 lugs. That combo I assume would get the smaller radiators... And IF so, there has to be a hose for it.

    Edit:. The S-runner hose is my guess...

    Never thought about the s-runner, just lumped that in with all the other 5lug 2.4l minis. The top 2 look like the "drop" portion is too long, but the 11" might be an option.

    I just installed a new one today and the old one from the dealer was at 12,
    So I put mine in at 12, I could not figure from all the posts if it made a difference?
    Maybe I need to switch it to the 6 position then tomorrow

    Just got back from O'Reillys... I got the Gates 22120... that definately looks like it's gunna do the trick! Thanks! :thumbsup:

    I don't have the radiator in yet. Still have to do the PS/Alt/AC belts etc before I get to that... but will post pics tomorrow.

    3.4s where also available in regular 5lugs too. They came in the extra cab models. They seem to be kinda rare though.

    Figured I'd add a couple updates while have some coffee and wait for (hope for) it to get a little warmer before I get back at it this morning.

    So, when I was getting the parts together, to do this, I went back and forth on whether to order a new fan clutch. I did end up going ahead and getting one (as I posted earlier, Rock Auto was by far the best price).

    Turns out, it was a good thing I did. While I was flushing the coolant system, I was watching what the fan was doing, and according to Timmy's video, my clutch was definately bad.

    The fan was not stopping when the engine stopped at operating temp, and it was easy to move when the truck was off at operating temp.

    I replaced my old one with a Fan clutch "with tow package." I would have assumed that's what would have been on my truck already, but, it appears, that was not the case. My original fan clutch had an orange flange, the "tow package" clutch has a green flange.

    Well I just change the position from 12 to the 6 o'clock on the thermostat this morning as you suggested. I'm pretty shocked, but there is now at least a 5 degrees to 8 degrees difference cooler on full load. Thanks

    Did he give an explanation of why it went at 6 and not 12? I was under the impression that the little giggle valve went to 12 to allow and air through before the thermostat opens...

    That's what I thought too, I read 100 posts last night every form and the consents is it supposed to be at 6 o'clock Including manual I believe. I thought the same as you but started wondering about it here.
    I don't understand how there could be a difference in performance but apparently there is

    Here is what the Gates 22120 looks like to start. We had already mocked it up. The silver lines are where we were going to cut it.

    We cut it the first time like this.
    It was still a bit too long so we cut it again.

    That was the ticket.... looks like it was made for this application.
