Bought a TacMag, mounted it in the center console, really liking it so far!

I have been looking at the center console vault by tuffy. Best option if you must leave it in your truck. It is not always allowed to go with you everywhere, even with my CCP.

This is what I have been looking for. My gun will not always come with me, for instance when I am at work. So I want it to be secure in my vehicle in the case of a break in.

The Israelie Mosad used the .22 exclusively for many years and most agents were deadly with it. :laser:
    Just saying.

There’s a distinct difference between assassinating someone with a single well placed 22 shot and a defensive shooting against a moving target that’s trying to kill you first.

all these uncertain ways to carry. I hope we can get national conceal carry reciprocity passed soon so we don't have to worry about how to go about carrying/traveling in different states.

Good luck with that given the current mindset in DC.

If your gun came in a case with pre molded foam, take the foam out and cut it to fit into your console and voila! Or else get pick n pluck foam from pelican cases and pick it to your needs and shapes of whatever you want recessed...

Actually, I went out to hobby lobby bought some thick mattress foam, cut it to shape, traced out the weapon, bore out the foam to fit and installed it in the truck. Whole project took about an hour.

I bought the Salex center console organizer and put gun case foam around one of the compartments. Gun sits in there perfectly. No movement at all.

This would be my ideal location, but the 3rd Gen has an airbag that deploys in that area so I don't want to risk any conflict. And so the heuristic engineering ideas continue...

My take on the original question was how does he carry/ store his weapon securely in his truck. For secure storage while at work, or other gun free zones, there are a couple of companies that fab metal lockable lids for the rear cab storage bins. There are also under seat gun safes available, along with the mentioned console option.

Couldn't a popout compartment be designed into the left side of the center console that could pop out if you swipe a magnet across it?
Someone must understand what I mean? Hidden popout compartment. I need to look at the interior some more.
Besides, you could always keep it in your door cupholder too lol.

I'll try to remember to take a pic tomorrow. I have a holster on the left side of my seat. I plan on mounting it permanently by screwing in thebholster but for now the belt clip does keep it in place. It's not secure but I only have my shield on me when I travel out of town.

Where in the hell do you live? I thought it was bad here in Baltimore. I’ve lived here my whole life and never had anything close to that happen.
