Well, power went out a few hours ago. Just got the generator going. Love having it wired into the panel. Flip one switch house is on.

 

I seen parts of that video before.... good video...
The weld tables table-tops/fabBlocks arent bad for being guaranteed at .015" vs what stonghand parts cost and practically nearly same tolerances...

Also, a bolt on design seems cool and possibly practical for down the road when the table has taken a beating... But he claims that welding it would throw off the flatness... that's what's guaranteed with the weld tables and their assembly is welding it...

 

I don’t know the comparables to what other boxes look like but this is mine. Overall the story is the house was custom built in 2007 for an older couple to retire in. I think the husband engineered the house himself, and had a love I guess for electrical. Not actually sure his background but my entire house is full of high hats every four feet in every direction of the ceilings, way to many outlets per room, central vac, pre wired surround sound outlets, lights and junction boxes everywhere in the yard and so on. There was even a built in blow dryer in the master bath, this place was tops in ‘07! Unfortunately he passed away a year after the House was finished.. Its a bitter sweet story but we are more than greatful to have this house. Looking for our first home became finding our forever home. Back to the breaker panel.. The old owner left a laminated copy of the panel plans from when the house was being built, there’s actually two.. one being a revised copy. And everything else is labeled! (I just added the 220v breaker for the welder)

We are hard wired as well but they didn’t leave the generator when we bought the house so I haven’t been able to check it.

 

Maybe it’s the structural support throughout the table that keeps the CertiFlat tables perfectly flat.. Eitherway I won’t have the dough for one of those. Gonna check cost on the thickest table top I can get at Fazios and go from there..

 

I've had more than 1/2 dozen houses and that is the nicest panel schedule I've seen.

I finished the attic in my last house 300 sq ft. I put in at least 10 hi hats on two switches and outlets every 4 ft. Can't have to many.

 

Their claim is the proprietary heat treatment process and the ribs (the supports" like i stated earlier)....
Are you planing on having clamp holes on the top of your table? Drilling the holes in the middle can warp it if not done right... if you plan on having holes, fazzios does cnc and they might be able to do them for you.

 

I have a brand new never opened Generac GP5500 if you're interested. We bought for my parents last year, then my dad passed in the fall, so mom will never be able to use it. Just want to get back what I paid - $700.

 

Trucks sitting a little too wide now and rubbing the body, might take off the front spacers at least. Are 1/4-1/2" spacers safe if I get extended studs?

 

For her history display project, my daughter and her team need to bend 5/8” OD copper pipe into a 26” diameter coil.

Any suggestions on how to go about this?

Maybe next years science project. Lol

 

Cut a 26" circle out of plywood as a form to bend the tubing around. Get thin cheap stuff and cut a few and layer them together to give them some surface to work with. Stretch it out into a coil.

 

You can buy what's called soft copper and it's just really soft and bendable copper pipe. Just gotta find something 26" diameter like a ball or a wheel or something to wrap it around. Or if you want you could just eyeball the bend
