NEW from Simi Valley California

Hows it going everyone, my name is Joel I'm 24 married and I have 2 boys. I live in Simi Valley, SoCal. I have an 02 Single cab lifted 2.4L auto.

Gutless little truck but it does me just fine.

Joined the forums to pass some time and maybe learn a thing or 2 more.

Future plans for my truck is return to stock height lower rear to lvl out intake muffler and get my radio to work lol. Get my spair tire mounted again and kind of put my truck back togther with out taking out the soundsystem.


OR


Do a solid axle swap and build a 4x4 maybe v6 or v8 swap idk havent done alot of research yet on it but well see lol. I see acouple solid axle 4x guys in simi but never have had the chance to ask them a few questions.

Would be great to be pointed in the right directon lol

Welcome to TW!!! I used to live in Simi but its been about 7 years now or almost that long. My parents still live out there off of Strearns St. though!! I lived out there for a bout 14 years until I moved out of the state. I loved Simi but it has grown so much since I grew up there. I'm still a Cali boy at heart though and always will be.

 

Simi is ok to raise a family but nothing to do and nowhere to go. lol

I guess I cant complain. I've lived in simi for 23 years now Woot Woot. Cali is fine but im over it, if it wasnt for economy I would move away out of state. Tried to go army but they want me to have college credits so thats on the back burner now since college doesnt enroll till he end of this month.

Haha, nothing to do and no where to go huh?!?! My closest Wal-Mart or shopping mall is 120 miles east of me in Salt Lake City, Utah!!! I'm a city boy myself so living in a 7,500 population town that revolves around casinos isnt my biggest cup of tea. Its just the job that is keeping me here.

But hey, I'm a little older then you but what school did you graduate from? Simi High or Royal? Maybe we know each other?!?! That would be crazy!!

 

Actually I went to Santa Susana then adult ed and got m GED to gradute early and start working fulltime. Sh!t I wish I had a job lol I havet been working since the new year. I should have been in boot camp by now but eh guess it wasnt meant to be. Finally got called back by Lowe's for an interview though. I'm down but not out.

My wife is from Simi. I lived there about a year then got married and brought her to Vermont she really misses it there, it was a pretty nice place but CA is just to busy for me

And speaking of nothing to do there, get a motorcycle and ride the back roads out there like Grimes and Balcom Canyon or go hit up the Santa Monica mountains for some real fun.

I'm sure she does. Simi is a great place IMO and yes, Cali is super busy!!
