hey guys so about 2 weeks ago I had 5100s installed all around and just noticed a pretty major taco lean even though I have stock coils. I did some measuring and it’s the driver rear that’s low. It’s .6” lower on the driver side than the passenger. I was looking at the 5100s and noticed on the lower side they look like this which to me doesn’t look right.

    Anybody help me out here?

And here is the opposite side which is higher but is the “normal” side.

    How are the fronts?

Did you use a spacer on top or increase height by clipping the perch higher on the driver's side?

Fronts are 5100s as well and set on the 4th perch at 1.55” and just confirmed both are exactly the same.

5100s do nothing for rear height.

Either our fronts are way off affecting your leanqor it all just in your mind and it’s aleays been that way. Try finding perfectly flat group for your measurements. Also a full tank of gas will make that truck lean.

They sell a 1/4 drivers side lean spacer to be added to compensate the front lean.

You can visibly see it when driving. Shins me it’s that noticeable and when I measure the fronts they are perfectly even it’s only the driver rear that is off by over .5”. I’m not sure if the shocks have anything to do with it but I just thought they looked weird so I wanted to post a picture.

Swap them from side to side and see what happens. It's entirely possible the shock shit the bed already. Even the almighty Bilstein can let a turd out occasionally.

The shocks on your rear do not change height. At all. You could take off both shocks and your height wouldn’t change. It has to be something else. Maybe it’s jus the natural lean of the truck that was exaggerated by your front lift.

I’m fine if it’s the natural lean but besides the 1/4” front spacer is there anything I can get for the rear to fix the .5” difference?

Also, with the way the shock looks, is there anything to be concerned about or they can look squished like that?

Ride rite airbags. A bit spendy just to fix that lean but they are pretty useful for carrying a load too. First mod I did to mine

Besides looking bad is there any actual negative impact of having a severe lean like that?

Shocks in the rear do nothing for ride height.

You are looking at the shock shaft boot. Cut it off so it doesn’t trap road salt and damage the shock.

    No

Thanks man, this looks like it will do the trick. I wonder how this would work if I already have 1” blocks in the back, I’ll have to do some more research!

If that's the case then I'd look to see about getting 1 custom cut for you. That way it's 1 piece vs 2.

Please excuse my ignorance but are shims and blocks basically the same thing? Like if I just found a 1.5” block and swapped that out with my current one and could call it a day?

Yeah they are the same but.... I feel that due to having a solid rear axle it would be a really bad idea to put uneven blocks back there. I wouldn’t do it and I know of nobody on tacomaworld who has ever done it on here. Could be wrong but I doubt it.

I appreciate the honesty, I’m thinking I’ll just stick it out for as long as I can then.
