When you get a "short" survey call for Alameda city elections on your Sunday morning and ruin your waffle batter because of it.

There would be public outrage. But yea 25 cents doesn’t mean crap to most people. Lots of people still can’t believe there’s a bag charge too.

Nice drive to Santa Rosa sounds like a good way to unwind from an IKEA trip.

Bumper was still available as of this morning... :boink:

I’m still trying to get used to this new sour beer trend. Still like them more than porters or stouts though.

I hear that... I just dropped $3k to cut down 3 trees and I still have 6 more to think about. And while we don't have forces out of our hands making us redo the kitchen, our kitchen is the only original part of the house left so it's only a matter of time. It's hard to squeeze the bigger truck purchases through when house/life demands it.

I couldn't justify the additional cost for armor. Even when I got @MJonaGS32's bumper for a killer deal I couldn't commit to putting that on. Since I'm really just after a winch mount and some easy recovery points I will likely end up getting a hidden mount and keep my existing fog lights.

My sole motivation for wanting a front bumper is (was) for deer strikes. I did use The winch several times but probably could have had a friend yank me with just a strap on most occasions. One time it did save my ass though. The bumper on my old truck was installed because of deer damage. The difference in price between the piece of plastic you can lift with one finger from Toyota and the ARB was only a few hundred bucks. Paid for itself many times over, however. My 07 claimed a handful of deer, with zero damage to the truck. Now I've moved back to an urban area so the need is much less for me.

Nice! That's going to look really good with your Black rims. Are you going to Black out any other parts? Didn't you also recently ask about headlights with the BHLM look?

I was a bit worried about having armor on a DD in Sacramento, and the ARB with it's crash testing seemed to ease that a bit. I'm guessing most of the hidden mounts don't affect airbag deployment, but could still damage another vehicle unnecessarily and the winch itself has no protection. Still seems better for my needs.

Yes new headlights on the way and going to go to graphite rims in 17" for a more wide variety of tires. I have 18s now and it's a bitch to find good tires.

Funny thing with my insurance is that if I hit something or they hit me the ARB is covered. Also the rep told me that with the testing they do at ARB they consider it a great safety addition and they with replace it.
