    I wish!

However I’ve also thought about just buying a beater taco/t4r later on instead of swapping. Just have a locked prerunner for camping and smaller trails and then the beater for some heavier off roading .

For her history display project, my daughter and her team need to bend 5/8” OD copper pipe into a 26” diameter coil.

Any suggestions on how to go about this?

Cut a piece of plywood to that diameter and bend the copper around it.

that's what I was just thinking about. also, is it rigid or soft copper she had to bend?

Standard water plumbing copper pipe. It feels relatively rigid. She wants to maintain the integrity of the circular x-section

The only way to do that is to bend it with a mandrel bender. Standard bending thins the outside of the radius and compresses the inside. But with a 13" radius that is pretty much a non issue.

ohh okay, that's a whole different ball game then. up here plumbing copper is all rigid pipe. well all plumbing now is that plastic tubing but u get what I mean haha then yeah, I would think what @ovrlndkull said. build something that is the diameter/shape she wants and wrap the copper around it? heating it up would help bend it but I'm not sure if it would effect the structural integrity

I made a bunch of differet "dies" like this to bend tubing like this for motorcycle frames heat the tubing up to get them to bend then screwing a brace to the outside while the tubing cools to prevent as much spring back as possible.

PEX is really good nowadays but like all plumbing the connections are king and PVC/CPVC are the most idiot proof. Sweating copper requires skill and then pex connections requires attention to detail.
