Considering leveling or lifting the truck, but it depends on whether or not the dealer will void the warranty.

Also, please suggest some relativity cheap leveling kits. Thanks

Void the entire warranty? No. Parts that fail due to the installation, that the dealer proves, can be voided. And the suspension most likely will not be covered sincee it will not be oem anymore. Basically anything changed can be voided. Anything directly related to what was changed, can be voided if proven. It really depends on your dealer as well.

It really depends on Toyota, not the dealer since the dealer has to get it approved by Toyota.

Thanks, I should probably talk to the dealer before doing anything, just to see where they stand with lifts.

You are right. However what I meant is it depends on your actual dealer to see if they are even willing to take it to Toyota. I went through this with a Jeep that I purchased brand new and had lifters fail. One dealer tried to tell me my bolt on magnaflow exhaust is making the tapping sound so it is normal, and wouldn't contact Jeep on behalf of a warranty claim.

OP- This is a good reply in as it really points out that they have to back up the warranty denial.

Also, keep in mind that if you are using well known name brand items, installed by their directions, the chance of having issues is pretty low. Risk vs Want ratio is very low! :)

Wow, but the dealer has to prove it as per the Magnuson-Moss Warranty law too.

Yup. I know, I took it to another dealer though who proceeded to attempt to fix it, but of course doesn't listen to me. They changed the lifters on ONE side only and wouldn't look at the head (Jeep motors were having problems in 2012 and some were still being used in 15) but what does the customer know. I took it back 2 months later tapping loud as ever, they took the other side apart that was completely silent to replace those lifters. Still had a loud tap so I traded it in. I will never own another Chrysler product. I had to have the corporate complaint center involved to even have the motor looked at. Originally both dealers stated the tapping sound was normal, yet they find a collapsed lifter when they pull it apart.

    In court.

They can deny your warranty in the service center at any time.

Drat, was about to post something similar. Dealers don’t have to prove shit on the spot to deny warranty work. It’s only if you take them to court.

Most dealerships in my area sell Tacos modded to hell and for big $$ sitting right there in the showroom... with shit for parts too... I can't see them denying you warranty because you lifted your truck when they prolly have at least 1 in the showroom or on the lot.

Dealer I bought my truck from had a 3" lift with blocks and 35" mud tires and aftermarket wheels last time I was there... it was hideous.
