Sorry. Claimed by nitto to be just over 33in.

At 28psi they were over 32in. A bit more pressure and I'm sure they'll reach the claimed 33

Reading through this thread it doesn't look like anyone else has posted having bought this size?

I think you're right. This is a new size to me. Should cut through mud and snow quite nice. Your mpg's should not suffer as much either. Are they C's or E's ? I run my 265/70r17 E's at 36 front and 35 rear, unless I'm towing. I can easily maintain high 17 mpg's if I take it easy. Max was 22.2 on a vaca trip. No mountains.

285 75 17. When I talked with the guy from Nitto, he told me that the tires were the same weight being either C or E Rated, they use basically the same material just put it inside the tire differently. And I believe the tire I have is just over20180303_175106.jpg 20171124_190712.jpg 64 pounds.

I honestly prefer the E's. Nearly the same weight and stronger. I don't think they are too stiff either. My Duratracs were C's and these are smoother on the road.

Honestly, there are days when I'm driving home through the city where the roads are for shit and I consciously think how smooth they are.

I've wanted to shoot video with my phone resting on the steering wheel to show how smooth they are.

The only thing I might trade them for would be a guaranteed higher mileage tire. I would consider the Nitto Terra Grappler. I thought I might like the Pro Comp A/T Sport but a guy ok n here with them is just happy. I'm ecstatic about the Ridge Grapplers. His expectations might be too high though. Nothing can compare to an all season radial when it come to noise or mpg's but I tell ya, the Ridge Grapplers are the best choice for an aggressive, competent alternative. Just ask anyone in this thread.

I am having a set of stt Pro's put on my 2011 on Tuesday. Hope I don't kick myself afterwards but they are the best looking Tire I think for 255 75 17, and the reviews are pretty good!

I went for a pre- red clay rally trip this weekend. It was the first time off road on these tires with my full camping/ wheeling gear plus 2 passengers and 4 bundles of fire wood.

I was really glad I had the E load. It was wet and loose. Twice I had to climb extremely steep inclines with undulating ruts. I had to spin the tires (with the locker on) allot to overcome the tires unweighting and lifting off the ground. No damage to the tires and I never lost forward drive.

Excellent write up Ron, great job!

What do think about those 255/80r17s though? I bet that would slice through the mud to get at the hard pack just fine. That's what it takes in the mud. Can't wait to hear more from Brian how he does with them.

    Great thread

What size tire are you running. They look great. I have 280s but think about switching to 275/65/18 to eliminate the rubbing.

I'm looking at getting the RGs in the same size, but hard to decide ... What are your thoughts so far? How many miles on them? Any and all details would be appreciated!

Also... Your truck looks great, I'm also considering a similar approach with vinyl, good to see!

Just ordered a set of 265/70/17 C loads for $686 through the eBay deal!!

    Can’t believe they’re 10lbs more each than my current 265 KO2 in C load :/

I have a 2015 and have been running the STT Pro's for a while (285/75/16). They are truly mud tires and depending on your lift/geometry it might get progressively louder and cause more vibrations. I'm REALLY regretting this purchase as I dont go mudding as much as I did when i first got the truck.

Just had them put on this afternoon and yes they are definitely quite a bit louder than my Open Country at2. Hope I don't kick myself later I really don't mind the noise and they seem to ride fine, they are only 255's so not nearly as wide as the 285's I had on there. I guess time will tell
No going back now. Definitely good looking tire.

Everyone's opinion of noisy is different, but these are no louder than my stock tires..... really.
