Everything is still brown. A few of the trees have buds on them. Which reminds me, I need to prune my fruit trees this month.

5 apple trees in various flavour, 1 pecon, 1 almond, 1 walnut and 1 pear.

1 orange and 1 bannana tree that live indoors during the freezing time of year.

I think that's all if them.

My FIL is the same. A ton of different fruit trees. Love going down there and being able to just snack on oranges whenever

My problem is the @#$&ing squirrels! They know exactly when the fruits or nuts are ripe. They will strip me in a matter of days. If I don't put netting over the entire tree I won't get anything.

Working GY's doesn't give me a lot of time during the day to thin the herd, if you know what I mean.

I got so sick of them last year that I grabbed the 12 gauge, walked out the back door, and just blasted a shot up into one of the trees they were in. They didn’t come back around our house the rest of the year :rofl:they seem to have forgotten about my message as they’ve returned this year. :crapstorm:

Never posted in this one before but I’m a straight midnights guy 0000-0800, old Job was 12 hour swing shifts so this one is much easier to keep straight. Anyway, here’s my project for tonight, un-official of course.

My tow hook has been getting some use this winter so i took it in, hit it with the grinding wheel/ media blaster and am in process of a half dozen or more coats of Rustoleum. Should be good as new when the sun comes up.

I didn't do one this year. I should, my last one was simply amazing. I have never tasted one that good before or since.

We call those "government jobs". Thinking about that, I never understood the reason for that label.

    Can anyone offer insight?

Yeah, I blasted the Hard to reach spots, wire wheel the rest, coming out pretty nice so far. Not that rust hurts the hook any but this way it'll look "mall fresh" again! Besides why not?
