Be careful and check your rear doors first.

I know I had to shim my bolt-ons down a little because with a slight angle up of the sliders, and with weight resting on the sliders, I couldn't open my rear door.

Yep, when these were welded on they were close to the pinch weld (like 1/4”) and didn’t have a problem.

I’m mostly worried that with this height I can jam my foot between the sliders and body, but when higher I couldn’t

Just a little tidbit for those looking to buy a house, or ones who already own.

This house had one of those water catching systems that ran under the upper deck. It was a bunch of plastic panels that were sloped to the outside. Unfortunately those end up being water catchers when not installed properly.

Went to pull off a ledger which was bandaid'ed with another section of 2x8 on top of it (you can see it at the top left of the above picture). Found the ledger was completely rotted as well as the plywood behind.

    0304181538.jpg

The water backed up due to all the junk and just sucked back there. There's a few other rotted sections of ledger, but this was the worst. So now the siding needs to be pulled and see how bad the damage is. It was properly flashed and caulked at the top but the water came in from the goofy rain catcher.

This is what the stuff looked like. Of course they can be installed correctly, this one mostly was other than this one side.

I'm gonna be looking at buying a house next summer/fall. I'll keep an eye out for that kind of thing if there's a deck. Thanks.

I’m pretty deep into a home theater setup and mini PC’s that I use to run each TV in my house. I use the computers to record TV and to view live TV through an antenna in my attic using Windows Media Center. I have not had cable since 2007. Anyway, you need a very powerful PC to run VR successfully. This is mainly the video card which must be powerful in processing and also VR ready. An I-7 Intel chip is recommended, and 16 gigs of ram would be best. I’m sure your son is into the Steam network. If not he should look into it. More info on PC setups for VR and forums — start here: https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=7770-WRUP-5951

    Hope this helps!

Wilson Peak, Telluride or general vacinity, my old friend was a life long Coors drinker, every time he got wasted he’d recite the fucking story of how he drove down there and took photos.
