So washing my truck today I noticed that some idiot reversed into the front of my truck and dented in my skid plate!! This had to have happened yesterday at work because it wasn’t there the day before! I’m so pissed right now! I know it could have been worse but this crap still upsets me! There’s 2 scuff marks on the bumper as well but you can’t really see it. Luckily they didn’t dent in my bumper as well!:annoyed::frusty:

Now my question is should I try and have it bent back or just leave it alone? Would it make it worse if I tried?

This is actually aluminum and pretty beefie. Take it off, place it between a couple pieces of wood and beat it back into shape. Be careful if you heat it as it might cause discoloration.

I really don’t think I could bend that back by stepping on it at all! Lol and JJ Customs, that’s what I’m afraid of, it chipping or something in the process!

Lol yes luckily it’s pretty much in the center just a little off! I know it could have been worse like in a spot that would be more noticable. A friend suggested I leave it alone as well because of the position of it it kinda almost looks like it’s supposed to be there.

I don't think you will chip it. That's what the wood is for. Lay the front on the wood then put a 2x4 on the backside and hit that so you are not actually hitting the skid. It will work.

Or if you don't want to take it off you can bend it out with an adjustable wrench but it will show ripples.

I agree, sucks it happened but it couldn't have happened in a better spot. Looks like it's supposed to be there.

Beat it out. If the finish is messed up just rattle can it. My old TRD skid was beat pretty well. I had to bend it back on more than one occasion and when it looked tired I would just hit it with a new coat of grey derp that matched the color of the plastic on the front bumper.

That sucks OP. two things... you might be able to find one used because people throw new armor on all the time. I see you’re in Hawaii - kind of limits your choices, but it could happen. (I’d trade choices for Hawaii right now, it’s still f’n cold here)

Secondly, find that asshole at work and use their face to bend it back into place!! :D

Yeah that's why I have one of Eric's on mine now. My beat to help aluminum one is sitting beside the house.

I got tired of looking at the TRD plate so I gave it away. The Relentless skit needs some touch up but at least I don't need to remove it to bend it back.

My OEM skid is dented and bent to shit. It doesn't take much, it's like a cookie sheet.
