I've had the Blue Sea on two trucks at this point, and I've got a set up for the newest truck.

I've got the Pelfreybuilt panel that I'm going to run in this one. I had a member-made one for my previous (he no longer makes them) which had the lower brace that I thought was quite nice. I have no issues with the items being hot with the ignition off, but I can understand why people wouldn't want that, as well. The only real downfall I see with the Blue Sea setup is it's not waterproof, but if I'm in a situation where that's a concern, I've got a bigger issue going on.

 

Yea... I spent about 1000$ on my electrical setup with the modular bussman and bluesea in the bed. I went with the custom harness setup, one that goes between bussman to the cabin through the firewall, one in the cabin for the accessories, another for the switches etc...

This doesn't include the special crimpers for all the different connectors and the hours spent building the harnesses and wiring...

 

I forgot to add my bussman has a manual 80amp breaker on it but otherwise is always hot - same with the bluesea which is tied to the same breaker.

 

Ill run hood lights and bed lights that I want to use without the key. Open the hood lights come on, like the fridge. Same for the bed. I also am think CB, also think I may want that with no ignition. But other lights things such as seat heaters will be ignitioned.

Didn't know it was going to snow today, and I'm already committed because the bike is loaded in the back of the truck. Ughhh

 

just drive faster and the snow will blow over the truck and not actually land on the bike

That is 100% accurate. I wasn't thinking about it like that, maybe get that BF out there to earn some brownie points. It's too cold to be washing a truck by hand this time of year.

 

I've been wanting to clean my truck the last 3 weeks and every time its starts to rain/snow. The OCD is driving me crazy wanting to deep clean the whole thing

 

Friday we had nature's car wash.. pouring rain

 

we have about 8" of snow on Friday here. Was going to clean it yesterday and then it decided to snow again. Hoping tonight can get the inside at least cleaned out

 

Is anyone local, still without power? I have a gen that has proved its self and is available to use

 

I'd be more worried about the bike than the truck. I hate getting salt on my bikes, that's a vehicle, that in my opinion, should never see that shit.
