    I just got it!
Okay so I went outside today to simply vacuum my truck a little bit. I thought I would invest maybe 10 minutes into vacuuming and then go meet some friends. I noticed this rock chip:

    IMG_2232_02fcc65f9270ec28eacb2e78416654c0ac6cdbee.jpg

Noooo! And the chrome was bubbling it around it likely from pressure washing! Well this won't do. Now I can't meet my friends, I've got to deal with this rock chip!

So I figured, alright, time to paint the grille. SIGH. By the way, "Grille," or "Grill?"

    So I got going:
    IMG_2233_020a2ad360eda58f289b72bc19c622b5991c7804.jpg

    IMG_2234_e77bd47cdfca19a74e359255c5024dcd50dd79e1.jpg

And before I knew it, I had sanded the whole thing down and realized there was no looking back:

    IMG_2236_cfd27942078b4f43d9c748d9d6eeb12813a1cbe2.jpg

    IMG_2238_1283256cf9f9ac599a3816c67c50f243176b2220.jpg

So I got it all masked up, including the little fake grille triangles:

    IMG_2239_32b37744e255a1ab1b4a577c439ddb7b4b4b910a.jpg

Hung it at a nice elevation for my arms,

    IMG_2241_5acf696fd74d1c71c56d4404d7482e235aa5b694.jpg

    And laid down a primer:

    IMG_2242_48eea6e2af550e6df36124eda21740022c994e77.jpg

And now I'm in bed, making this post. I suppose I will keep going tomorrow on this project. I'm so far quite pleased with the project, but displeased that I didn't accomplish anything today other than things to do with my truck. What do you think?

And no. I won't tell you my plan. Because I haven't made it yet. All I know is that I can sleep soundly knowing that rock chip has been erased.

Ah, but see if I paint it chrome, I won't have to make a new signature.

    Just kidding. OF COURSE color-match!

Alright. So I kept going. I put some Red Pearl paint on it:

    IMG_2244_8e470d52da45aeffb7df65048384eb01a12e13b7.jpg

    IMG_2247_028f28099779eed390e07453dc310a20bd0c20dd.jpg

And I think it looks pretty nice, now! Figured I'd sand and paint my hitch while I've got her in the garage:

    IMG_2249_f0b38abc57d2935544ca1f8aee2af8549c185308.jpg

    IMG_2251_6a5767a25bf37aa4b142bd7a9f56ec2a65fdaa68.jpg

And might as well paint the V6 black as well:

    IMG_2250_129a714d54a1124575687e678c8b84ba6e5e5fd7.jpg

So what do you guys think? That rock chip seems to have benefited me.

Thanks, everyone! I'm going to satoshi the crap out of it next week, I just ran out of time, so I didn't wanna start cutting anything up.

Also I never clear coated because I knew I'd be repainting when I satoshi'd. Anyone have any suggestions as to which clear coat I should get? Thanks!

I liked the sanded look on the chrome. Looked like brushed stainless steel.

Yeah, I kinda wished there just wasn't a rock chip, because after sanding the chrome the rock chip was still there. If it wasn't I would have rolled with brushed metal until I decided to satoshi.
