after being gone for a few months and getting back to the truck I can’t keep my phone connected to entune. I remove it and forget device then reconnect. Seems to work for a while then after sitting overnight I go back to the car and it won’t connect without reproducing the above. Really annoying.

    1. Have you checked to make sure entune is up to date.
    2. Remove it from your phone and redo it.
Try those and get back to me.

Delete the phone on entune & start over. However, the IphoneX is having major issues with it from what I hear.

Ok. I tried removing and then re loading the phone. That’s the only way I can connect it. After that it will work for the remainder of the day. Next day same issue. Have to remove the phone then reload.

Ok. Worked for the first drive. Then started it up to go to lunch and keeps saying tether error. So annoying. Phone is updated and entune is updated.

Ya. Tried again. Blue tooth in my phone finds my Tacoma but keeps saying unsuccessful. Now I can’t even get it to connect.

That's good to hear, the entune the dealer was having issues with was a 2018 Camry, could just be that dealer though. Anyway, it's good to hear as I plan on trading my Iphone7 later this year and I'd hate to have to install something other than Etune.

OP, my T4R did that when we left it parked in the garage for a couple weeks, but it paired up again no issues.
There was an Iphone upgrade during that time I believe and it may have been the cause. I use my truck everyday so I wouldn't know if I leave it parked for a month that it would have the same result, but it should pair right a way if deleted and start over.
Anyway, I would start there and if nothing works I'd either try the dealer if under the 3/36 warranty or install a Kenwood with apple play :D

Ya. Apple play is pretty sweet. I’ve deleted entune app off phone, updated phone, removed phone from entune on car, with no result. My dealer is 2.5 hrs away so won’t be going there anytime soon. Thanks for the feedback. Will keep trying.

Just had my Entune updated last week at the dealer due to disconnecting issues and the Entune forgetting my phone a few times. So far so good.

Steps that I've done in the past that have truly worked.

    Entune:
    1)Remove all devices
    2)Hold power button to restart.
Optional: Reset the whole head unit to factory settings.

    Phone:
    1)Delete Entune
    2)Remove Bluetooth association
    3)Reset Phone Bluetooth settings
    4)Turn off Bluetooth
    5)Restart Phone
    6)Install Entune
    7)Login
    8)Connect Bluetooth

    Enjoy!

Thanks everyone for all the feedback. Seems to be working now for the time being. Funny. I went to see if there were any updates and it showed no needed updates. After work I deleted entune off my phone again and then reset my phone, then loaded the app again on my phone. I then went to the store, came back to the truck and entune prompted me to download new update. Weird. Shouldn’t I be able to check the update on the drop down screen and see it needs updating? Was not available when I checked beforehand. Maybe something to do with deleting and then reloading the app on my phone. Thanks again for all the advice. Hopefully now it will continue to pair. Sure would be nice to have Spotify on this thing.

How do you reset whole unit to factory setting. Can I find this in the manual? Thanks

There’s a button for remove personal data. That’s a factory reset as far as I know.

Ok. I did that as well. I thought maybe there was a full reset option but maybe this is it. Thanks.
