    Welcome gear heads!!

Why did Toyota leave a giant hood gap on our Tacoma?

    20180303_161918.jpg

We're looking to run a test pilot! The Engine BayCovers are outfitted for 2nd Gens & X-runners. Currently, the (above) 2nd Gen BayCover is strictly designed for trucks with Hood Struts (Ex. Redline Tuning). Each BayCover is Handmade In Jax, FL and tailored to suit Tacoma trucks like a tux! Ever drop a bolt or skin your knuckles to the bone? Me too. Simply taking advantage of the useless space and making it useful. Our BayCover is stiff enough to hold tools but flexible enough to conform to the shape of your engine bay. Installs in less than 20 minutes. This is a precut product designed by Gear Tech Customs

    Pretty cool.

It's similar to the BPF cooling panel, but this is much larger and not made of steel. Prince point is good too

this cover looks like it would limit engine cooling air from the grille getting inside the engine bay that helps cool down the engine the air coming in thru the grille not only helps cool the radiator and trans cooler but the engine bay itself, just an observation

    Main purpose
: Makes under the hood LOOK 100 times nicer

But seals the front hood gap so air is redirected through the radiator that would otherwise slip through which aids engine cooling

It's actually the opposite. The cover forces air into the radiator, instead of it being able to do above it.

Our gear is made with industrial grade neoprene which performs at its best in automotive and marine applications.
