Should buy some more of that rope and learn to splice. Can make all kinds of recovery gear.

 

Ugh, I had to splice eyes in the coast guard. Such a pita

 

Practice makes perfect.

 

I would like to get a factor 55 flatlink and it was shared to me that this would require some splicing... prolly have to learn a little for this

It would. I realized last night while I was laying in bed thinking about parts that in order to even remove the stock rope hook you have to cut the line. Then splice a new eye with the new hook/thimble/flatlink/etc. And thought, "maybe I'll keep the hook a while longer "
