@aero3685 you seen the new GMC/Chebby videos? The one with the Active Tailgate and the Carbon Fiber bed?

Just saw the carbon fiber bed offering saving 62 pounds and saw the combo tailgate the other day. Tailgate looks pretty cool (for those who would make use of it). Power tailgate, just a gimmick. The bed dampener makes the biggest difference.

Still liking the looks of the Chevy over the GMC.

You better stop bringing up other manufacturers. Lots of people don't want to hear them facts 'round here unless it's rumors about Toyota hinting at a diesel.

Going to be in Durango Friday afternoon through Sunday afternoon. Any thoughts on what to do? The girlfriend wants to hang in town for a day I’d rather go skiing and I’m concerned there won’t be much going on. I’m all for breweries and food but any tips would be appreciated.

Mostly I make fun of them just to make fun of them. I went to the @teamhypoxia school of arguments whereas you pick a side a stick to it regardless of what you're actually arguing over. :D My hate is almost entirely in a joking manner.

That being said, I do believe Icon is at the bottom of the list of performance shocks. A little bit of searching on here will show you lots of broken top hats, leaking shocks, etc, etc. I'm also not sold on they're piston/valving design and the hype that goes along with it.

Most of all I really don't understand the Icon culture. They're the Factor 55 of the shock world. :p

I want to try pressing the old bearings out and replacing them along with the seals.

We have two vendors on here that sell the assemblies for a bit of a premium and they both appear to be highly unreliable. The other option would be aftermarket assemblies but I figure how hard can it be to press the dumb things apart and back together.
I also figure my success would be inversly proportional to how big of a hurry I am in to get my DD back on the road :D

You can have them if you return them with new bearing to me :D

Also, what do you mean by unreliable? I have had the njwhatever guys for the past 4 years with no issues.

Reliability with those bearings comes down to sealing. 90% of the failures I see are water intrusion that rusts the bearing surface

I mean, I understand the word reliability, seeing if there is known issues with these as that's the way it reads.

    What hasn't been modified?
I think he’s referring to the reliability of the manufacturer aka bamatoy or nj636
    Personally mine came from nj

Scored some free EAF points. Not sure if I get points though because it was free. I'll also lose points because I have to build/fabricate the missing spade. Now to find some 3/16" plate steel
