I'm not liking the temperature forecast for later this week. Widespread frost is expected. We have Amaryllis busting out of the ground, peach trees that are covered in blossoms and potatoes sprouting up. Same thing happened last year and it destroyed the peach blossoms as well as amaryllis. I dislike winter

I like winter, but I don't like seasonal relapses lol. For any season. If it's going to change seasons, just change. Tis my #1 hate for Alabama. I mowed in February, now my yard is about to frost. WTF

I just seem to remember when I was younger the winter to spring transition was more gradual. Now it's back and forth for 2 months, 70 one day and 14 the next. I really don't want to lose the peach blossoms again but I'm not sure how to protect them.

That's how I've always remembered my childhood, maybe we are both wrong lol. I just want decent weather to try and get my yard looking nice this year.

So apparently plastic is not the answer for covering the peach trees. According to one website it can be worse as it traps moisture. They said to use a bedspread and make sure it touches the ground all the way around to trap the radiant heat from the ground. Where the heck am I going to find a bedspread large enough to cover a tree? I guess I'll just wish in one hand and .......

As long as the SWR isn't high enough to fry my CB I am good. I don't know if I need to ground my antenna or not until i try to tune (hood hinge mount).

BTW for anyone else looking to do any car audio stuff, DIYMA is a great place to read and learn. I have changed gears with what my current plans are for my T4R after a friend stopped by Friday evening. I am now in the process of building a sub box, adding mids, lows, and highs with an audio processor/mixer for some top of the line sound quality.

That's a good idea and I like it but I don't have any heated blankets. I did read a bit ago to use old school incandescent Christmas lights along with a bed sheet or blanket. No way the blanket will reach the ground but the heat from the bulbs should provide enough warmth to keep the leaves and petals from being damaged. I hope my Dad hasn't thrown out those old bulbs haha! I will have to make sure the bulbs aren't touching the blankets. Then it would be my rendition of Moses and the burning bush only you'd call it Mike and the Burning Peaches
