My 13 has a vibration at 1500 rpm; started a few months ago. I'm a little over 70k miles. Replaced the carrier bearing. Had the drive-shaft balanced. Still have the vibe. I'm running Icon stage 4 with dif drop and carrier bearing drop. I try to not let the rpm's be 1500 by changing gears. Weird that it wasn't there before.

Just got my letter today... wondering if I should go in. Really don't want to pay a diagnostic fee just for them to tell me my trucks lifted.

I got a vibration/shudder that starts at 25 mph and gets worse at 40 mph. It smooths out at highway speeds but you can still feel it. Took it in today and watched the guy drive it a short distance and return and put it up in the air. A little while later service guy tells me i will be getting new u joints but they must be ordered. Truck is stock except for Bilstein 5100's that are at 2.5. I have not received the letter yet.

I never received the letter. I read about this warranty enhancement right here on TW while I was researching the vibration issue. I called Toyota CS and they ran my vin and said my truck was included and I would
eventually receive the notice but did not need it. Dealership confirmed vin and set up appointment.

Took 06 tacoma to dealer on Monday, service pimple kid says my truck has no open recalls. Showed him the warranty enhancement letter says they will take a look at my truck. Technician puts it in the air and they replaced all three u joints no charge. Happy! No more vibes.:benchpress:

Got my letter in the mail last week and pretty much on the same day the vibrations started happening which was kind of spooky. Called today to set up an appointment but the guy at the dealership said I would most likely incur costs for the repair as it only covers the rear U-joint and not all U-joints. Sounds like bullshit to me as nobody else on this thread has mentioned anything like that, seems most people are having the U-joints replaced fairly hassle free. I've got a stock 05 4 door 4x4 so it should be covered under this warranty extension. Has anyone heard anything about limitations to the warranty extension such as only covering the rear U-joint?

Got my letter last Tuesday and took my truck in Wednesday. I have a lifted 07 double cab sport with 170k miles. When I first got the truck I had pretty bad vibrations at 45 mph both before and after the lift. Eventually they went away, I had messed with angles but I’m not sure anything I did worked because I’m pretty sure I ended with the same angle I started. Regardless my vibrations eventually went away. I took my truck in anyway and said that I had this problem. They confirmed that I did have vibrations and that the problem would be fixed with no fees. I tried to inquire about what all parts would be replaced, it sounded like just the unjoints but I’m not positive. Waiting on parts to arrive before they start. Filed a claim and was told I should be reimbursed for the ujoints I had just replaced as well. We will see

I took my 2007 with 198,000 miles in today for the check. While they had it they replaced the u-joints. It took them about 2 hours.

Update: Got three U joints replaced today and vibration is completely gone. I would not have known about this warranty enhancement if i had not read about it here. Never received the letter. Getting this fixed for free on a 9 year old truck with over 159,000 miles amazes me.

Does it matter if you are the original owner? I have a 2007 Access Cab and the shuddering and vibration is ridiculous at certain speeds!
