Yep, that's what I talking about just a few post back and hoping it would be California legal.

 

Does this happen to you just when the engine is cold or all the time? How many miles do you have since flashing? My cold surges are similar to stock for the most part and have softened after 700 miles or so. The 1st gear stuff is believed to be impacted somewhat by the larger, heavier tires on his R&D truck which he's looking to address with an update

 

Hey everybody, I've been out of the loop for a bit. Has @OVTune released the other version of 1.03 that did not take MPG into account? Too many posts to go through and too little time. Thanks!

 

No. He hasn't. sounds like there will be a version with a softer "tip in" off the line for stock tires, and on the other end, a more aggressive version that is less MPG conscious

I had a very substantial surge this morning ..truck was cold of course . I've had the 91 tune a week now . I wonder why worse then yesterday morning . Foot hovering brake of course .

 

Hell that wouldn't be hard, there are dudes that reply every other comment, they read every single reply (you know who you are), all they have to do is copy and paste every time Mat answers a question.

 

I had a really bad surge happen 3 times in succession in reverse this morning and an almost stall when accelerating from a dead stop on flat surface. Two somewhat minor things but everything else smoothed out after.

 

I get it every morning when it's cold. I know the RPM's are higher until it warms up(even when stock) But I never had this bad of surge.

 

I had the same thing happen. Some TW posters were saying I didn't let it idle long enough after flashing or that basically I didn't know what I was talking about, both false. Was it more of a surge than stock or 1.02?

 

I need to test reverse. The short intervals I have done I have not experienced this issue.

 

Same. Excited for the tune. All this surging talk sounds bad

 

can somebody video this surge? I do not see this on the test truck.
How cold is the weather when this happens?

 

Does the tune account for the range of gas formulations across the country?
E0 vs. E10?
Is it handled in the 'background'?

 

This just happened to me. In reverse, mostly cold engine, 1400mi since flashing. Oscillation at about 1Hz, approx 500rpm amplitude. Outdoor temp 46F. Turning the steering wheel kicked it off. Running the 91 tune with Shell 94 (Canadian ethanol free). I'll get a video if it happens again.

 

Mid 30's for me in D. I will try it in reverse tomorrow to see if it surges when cold then also.
