I am getting ready to lift my truck but I am stuck on what to get and why. I am going to be doing a lot of highway driving to get to off-roading trails out to moab, UT and locally in CO. I do a lot of various trails- nothing serious but want to get into more aggressive terrain down the road.

I've got around $3,000-$4,000 to put into the lift and have read all over on the various options. I'm leaning towards ICON stage 3/4 or OME BP-51s. Possibly Kings if its worth the extra $$$ but haven't made up my mind.

I know if I go with ICON stage 4 I will need to drop my diff and have some concerns about doing so but really just want a all around good lift for ride quality and good off-roading. Should I stick to under a 3 inch lift?

For those that have ICONs or BP-51s what are the pro/cons to these. I know you can adjust ride quality on the BP-51s but they aren't adjustable like the ICONs. I am sure they are both good lifts but curious if they are worth the money vs Bilstien 5100s or 6112s

Are KINGs worth the money? If I am going with ICON am I going to be kicking myself if I don't go with Kings?

I know there are various forums on this already but nothing is answering A) is it worth the money B) will I get similar results for less $$$ going with 5100/6112 and be glad I saved $1500-$2500?

    Thanks in advance

I have kings on my truck and absolutely love them. Imo, this is a buy once cry once scenario. Do it right the first time and have them rebuilt when you would normally need new shocks again

Did you go with a Leaf Pack or AAL? I am thinking about going to Kings but not sure on UCAs and AAL/ leaf packs

I have firestone ride rites on the back right now:bananadead:

Shouldve gone with a leaf pack since i carry so much constant load, but couldnt find ones i liked at the time, so ill be redoing this and going with dakars in the back in the near future. Still rides great, i just needed more time to do my homework to figure out what would be the best fit for me.

If you dont plan on carrying a constant load, a leaf leaf progressive aal is a great option. But if youre going to carry a full load frequently, full leaf pack replacements will serve you better in the long run because they wont sag over time

Also check out the OME BP-51 set-up. Someone has them with free UCA's.

You forgot to put ADS in your poll :der:.

Edit: with that budget go with king or ADS all the way around. With a set of dakars
