I have an 06 tacoma 4 cyl truck and the driveshaft snapped. Mechanic is saying I need the yoke but ive noticed there afe a couple parts named yoke. Please help identify the problem also I heard there is a recall on the xriveshaft for this model truck. Anybody know if my truck would qualify for this repair? This part seems to not be sold separately.

That is not a warranty item due to the fact that it is worn out from a lack of lubrication as shown by the excessive rust in the bearing caps.

You should have been feeling vibrations on that sucker for a while before it let go.

Thanks for commenting. So I guess it's best to leave it at my mechanics than to tow it to a dealer in hopes of a warranty repair? Does anyone know how I can make sure I get the right part?

It looks like Sae68 has a complete drive shaft ready to rock and roll. Have you contacted him?

So I called spicer and they referred me driveshaft pro. found a local company that manufactures driveshafts and I am going to have mine rebuilt. I found the slip yoke but opted for a rebuild since it is already pulled from the truck.

If you are near orange county here is the number for anybody who has driveshaft problems.
    Driveshaft pro 800-798-4585
