I was quoted $526.70 tx inc. for a complete set of OEM SR5 Struts/Shocks (Struts came pre-assembled with coils and all bushings)
I seen 5100's for $699.20 tx inc. that does not include coils though, which range from $500-$700 for a pair? (If not lifting and just looking to freshen up your ride you could re-use oem coils?)

I think I'll do the shackle flip sometime this spring, then tackle the chevy 63's some time this summer!

Trying to take it easy with mods. Saving hard for a house now, hopefully will be buying one this summer!

I got my front shocks for 380 I believe. The rear 5100's are roughly 80-100 a piece I think!

If you're not looking for a lift then you can just reuse the coils.

I have 885's and the 5100's on the lowest setting I'm sitting at 37ish inches from the ground to the fender on my 285's. I can re measure from center hub to fender if you want though! Takes tire size out of it.

Are those leafs an easy thing to acquire in NS? Other than some Welding skills and a set of decent cohones this is a moderate diy no? Follow the teachings of our fellow tacomaworld friends

I am definitely going the budget friendly route of lifts, I don't wheel or go mudding just trails hear and there. Would like something to freshen up the suspension/minimal lift/handle some slight weight gains. I need to allocate more of my money towards a house too

My prices were gathered from Essex distributors website, but I haven't found cheaper yet (unless a bundled lift deal nets better prices)
If you don't mind measuring hud-fender that would be good, help me realize what my wants/needs are

They came on a lot of Chevy pickups. One of my buddies has the swap done on his truck. He got his leafs at Kenny Upull.

When it comes leaf swaps, your attention to detail is going to play a big part. Especially if you want to get the most out of them. Welding in the front leaf mount is important because it'll set your rear axle alignment. Measure twice, weld once.

Welding skills are also important because you don't want your axle coming out from under the truck on the highway! That's for sure!

I always shop around for parts. I usually check Amazon. Copy and past the part number, sometimes they're cheaper if you have Prime. Normally faster shipping too!

I believe Duncan called dibs on my leafs already! You two can fight over them, provided I end up doing the swap!
