I have not welded in a piece of plate yet I just keep cutting. I'm flush with the cab and cut way back on the bottom and I still rub at full lock and my wheel wheel is pounded back. I'm gonna try to fix it adjusting the caster angle on spc UCAs but if that doesn't do it this seems like a great option!

We are doing some looking at the 3rd gen mounts to make sure it will fit. Hopefully I will have an answer to that soon. I went and checked up on the truck today and took my own pictures to answer some of the questions I got on how it looks from inside the fender. The raw metal is were the factory cab mount was.

Wish this was available prior to doing mine! It looks great and removes it from the problem area. Could really tub the firewall then! Wish they made one without emblem cut outs too!

So clean and much improved over the typical cmc. Need prior to my 285/75R16s :)

Now I recognize no battle plan survives first contact, but a few potential design changes? Not a fan of how exposed the cab mount bolt is. A rock could certainly mess that whole area up. Any way to supply a plate that can be welded over as a shroud? And drop the “ears”( sides) down half inch or so to allow tool access after the plate (shroud) has been welded over. Just constructive criticism

    What bushing are you using?

I was looking at that as well. Also seems as though if you are going to go bigger than 35s like some have done you'll still hit the stock location of the bushing.

I've already got the RedGoatFab kit in my garage just waiting to be burned on.

This is another great option. Good looking product OP

Not quite sure of the point in this mount.

    1. Relocating the mount itself serves no purpose unless you are going to be tubbing the firewall to clear a tire larger than a 35.

    2. With a standard CMC properly cut aft of the firewall, you won't rub on the cab mount. You will rub the actual firewall first.

    3. Why is that bolt not protected? Not good for those that crawl rocks. Perfectly fine for the mall.

    4. Is the mount gusseted to the frame where it angles forward from the weld point on the frame? It doesn't take much to bend 3/16 steel on a rock.

I understand the concept of this, but 97.2% of the people on here don't wheel hard enough to need a mount relocation. I, on the other hand, am looking for something like this since I am upgrading from 35's to 37's and going to be tubbing the firewall. I just wish that bolt wasn't left out in the open.
