When Hurricane Sandy hit us (no power for 5 days) I had my 36KW Generac sitting in the driveway waiting to be installed. When you do the whole home deal it's important to get the right automatic transfer switch - I didn't and that caused further delays as I bought a different one and had the electricians wire it up.

 

I can't grow a beard worth a crap. It comes in all patchy, and would probably have a good bit of gray in it.

I recently found out there is a tilted kilt at the dulles town center. How long its been there I have no idea.

@buyobuyo has your radio gotten any kinds of weird updates over the last couple days in the wrx? Mine booted up to soome sort of weird updating in progress on sunday, and now my xm occasionally skips like an old cd player

I haven't noticed any screens saying that the radio is updating. I have noticed the xm cutting out for a second occasionally yesterday and this morning. I didn't pay much attention to it because the xm reception has been questionable at best since I got the car. Some days I get perfect reception even though it's overcast and nasty out. Some days when it's sunny and clear, it'll cut in and out. Some days I lose reception on the tree lined back roads to my place and some days I don't. Almost didn't renew my subscription for the year.

Ok thanks. I thought it was just me. I started up leaving target the other day, and when the radio booted up, it went to a blueish screen with a line at the bottom like an update was loading. It loaded pretty quick, and when the radio kicked back on, I noticed then that it would cut out occasionally. Different stations did the same thing. I never noticed that before, only going under an overpass or something where signal would get blocked. Other than that crystal clear.

I also have xm streaming in the house, it goes in through wired ethernet to my receiver. And I never notice the cut outs on that. If it continues, I'll contact xm and/or subaru, and find out wtf is going on.
