Think I might just cheap out on my front suspension revamp.

Probably just keep the 3rd gen OR coils and add 5100s at the 1st notch.

I think the coils should be alright.

Since they are for a heavier 4x4 truck...

Maybe the extra weight of the bumper will soften them up

Some of the amazing facilities we visited in Coimbatore, India. Quite the contrast from most of the country.

 

You are also adding some pre-load to the springs at the first clip. I am 2nd gen OEM springs with 5100s at the first clip. Personally, I liked the firming up of the ride at one clip, but I like a firmer ride than soft.

Good point!!! I dont want these to be any firmer than they are now.

When I get a front bumper ill go with a adjustable coil over. If price is a issue look into something around a 600-650 #’s to sustain height.This way the coil lifts the front end and not the strut. This should also create better ride quality. I think @SpruceTaco is running 5100’s with OME 885’s.

 

I'll probably end up going 884s with 5100s set to zero

Yeah not sure on coils because it differs from 4x4. I think 885 will benefit you better. Ill prob be selling mine in fall.

 

The 885's will give me too much lift

With the weight of a front bumper bud you should come in at 3” or less.

Right now I'm at 5" lift up front - I want to go to 6"

The fun part is factoring in a new bumper (steel, hybrid, fill plates, no winch EVER)

I think the 884s will give me 2.5" lift and maybe settle out about .75" with the bumper

What the heck am i doing, I dont know. ​
