You do know that lift doesn't come from shocks, right?

When I get a bumper, I won't be doing anything to my front suspension. The 885 coil is made to hold up to 200lbs more, I think.

Yeah, I know this. Technically it could, if you use and adjustable shock.

    I'll never preload coils.

Stiff enough in its current setup. Adding a front bumper and winch will soften that. I want this.

Nope, lift not from shocks. Adjustable is adjusting the spring load/height. Air shock is an exception, but that is embedding an air spring in the shock, but still a spring.

Well my hybrid bumper isn't that heavy. So let's call it ~175# or so. What coils do you have now, do you know what the spring rate is?

How much spring rate is 884s? You could get away with maybe just swapping coils and not shocks, you don't want to pre-load springs as it'll ride like shit and if you preload them too much it could damage the shocks

Then get the taller coil and don't preload the 5100s.

    ...OR...

Just go Fox, Icon, or Kings all the way round and call er guud

Yeah, wasn't for sure going to swap coils.

How about just adding a .5" top plate spacer?

Still trying to cheap out here lol

A spring preload from the 5100 first clip is hardly enough to even talk about, given you are adding the bumper.

    Well fuck.
So you have no OME coils or 5100s?

I would wait until you have the bumper. Weigh it. Then chat with Ms Marie and see what they advise. I know they make ???-X versions of most the OME coils, right? So, there my be a X version of the coil recommended that will hold you up where you need to be.

Sounds like you're being just as impatient as me
