Haha, I wish I could call it a replacement with all that's been changed and swapped it's closer to an ugly continuation, also depends on your definition of luck haha.

I actually think yours is a different color then mine was. I think pre Frank was a pewter peal and yours is lavender steel metallic

Lavender steel wasn't a color yet, they're both 96s and Pewter Pearl was the only grey

Going have to replace the valve cover gaskets. Not going to be fun tearing the intake off

It’s not to bad of a job, just get new steel gaskets if yours have some miles on them. Your not supposed to reuse them.

This past weekend, and many random days throughout the past couple of weeks, I painted my front and rear bumpers, grille, corner lights, and my receiver hitch. Replaced the towing wire harness. Also threw in some led bulbs for my interior lights.

I know it's just the thought of doing it is all. All I did today was took a 1/4" rachet and snugged them down a little since I know there torqued to 53 inch pounds. Makes no sense to me to put such a light torque on a engine.

Maybe Frank was Lavender then. He was a transition year truck. has the boost capable ECU anyways. Idk, Franks gray seems a touch lighter then your gray.

I was going to snap a pic for Leonard so he can pin it to his fridge. If i recall correctly, his passenger was pretty hot. It's all a blur now.

In the left picture, does anyone else see a problem? As in, the arms should be welded to the "straight" piece rather than the bent/contoured piece. This is what helps slide rather than bang to a halt when you hit a rock near front tire. Also, that's why the other side looks "bent", it was, on purpose!

I got the rebuild kit for the tundra V8 now I can begin reassembling it. But it probably be another year or two till it's in the tacoma. The wiring is going to be a nightmare. All the shops I talk to won't do it. I might have to do it myself or try contacting a specialist lol

Finally got my truck back. They said it looks like I got the wrong seal when I did it :anonymous: They also measured the driveshaft angle and said it wasn’t that far off from where it should be so I’m not sure if I want to do a Cb spacer or not. It’s almost cheaper for me to buy the OME spacer kit (I think that one works on the first gens) and pay for shipping than it is to buy the materials and make on myself.
