Most of the newer vehicle stereos can be replaced by double din receivers. There are a lot of options when getting a new stereo for your car. Our stock tacoma receivers get replaced by a double din, or you can put in a single din and have a little storage compartment above the single din to take up the extra space.

DONT DO IT!!!! the 900BT sux! youtube it. It takes almost 2 minutes for that thing to boot, and forget about the bluetooth. Go with one of the kenwoods DNX-XXXX. They have build in Garmin GPS.

I have heard of the slow boot times... Not worried about that. Does the bluetooth work with Palm Centros?

I will look into the Kenwoods as well... thanks for the heads up!

Yep that is my truck with a JVC AVX-810 (no Navi). I dont really like it telling me where to go. Getting there is half the fun even if you do get lost...although those things are helpful. take a look at this kenwood DDX512 with navi, its got a nice factory look. http://www.kenwoodusa.com/Car_Entertainment/Mobile_Video_n_Navigation/Mobile_Video/DDX512

+1 ------ I have waited almost 6 months for this new line of Pioneers, while I continued to collect the remainder of my audio gear:

Did the "Big-3", and changed out the factory battery for a Kinetic 2200.
0 gauge running to installed fuse block.

    (2) Tru B-4.75's for mid bass, mids, and Highs
PPI 600.2 (old school) 600W + to single sub.
DLS Iridium 3-ways in custom door pods
Dynaudio MD102 tweeters (using in lieu of the DLS)
Morel 6.5" coaxials (bi-amp connections) for rear fill
    JL 13TW5 sub (on order)
Audio Control three.1 (modifying dash/maybe moving the factory clock&hazard display to the lower cubby, and putting three.1 in its place)

    Audio Control EQS
    PPI FRX 456 crossover
All Monster 404 XLS RCA's (over $600 and counting)
All the wiring, Street wires fuse blocks with grounding, JL ground lugs, etc.
Marv's single enclosure (must be slightly modified for the JL13TW5)
    Marv's amp-rack.
    Factory matched carpet
Factory matched vinyl (for door pods) Even though my interior is leather.

My truck has the XSP package, with the carbon fiber inlay pieces over the interior dash/door parts. After much research, I found that Superior Dash in Daytona Beach manufacturers these "decals" for SE Toyota. Once the face-pieces of my door pods and the face-plate for the dash piece (lower cubby where Im moving the hazard switch/clock assembly), I will be sending them along with my Scosche double din dash piece to Superior Dash to be fitted with matching carbon fiber, so everything will be 100% factory match! :D

The only 2 things I lack are the Damplifier sound deadening and ensolite, and the deck.

I decided to wait after they first came out, to see what everyone thought of the Pioneer BT-90, and I'm glad I did!!

Nothing but problems, the entire line. Really a bummer.

My last purchase will be the deck, and more then likely it will be an AVIC Z-2. I will probably buy a pre-loaded hard drive with the Z-3 software.

Ohh, and a quality alarm will be installed before the 1st piece of audio equipment, and for those of you who know where I live, I too own fire-arms...lol..

I keep hearing this bad rap about the Pioneer AVIC line. I just went to an audio shop here in Maryland and the dude told me that Alpine was the way to go... I am just not sure if the extra loot ($800=/-) is worth it.

The Kenwood looks great... What I am not liking is all the extra crap you have to buy to get this main unit's features to work.... They put a man on the moon, but cannot make ONE unit that you buy with all the features ready to roll... This is annoying and my research is getting more complicated...

Alot of people love their Alpines... The Ipod control is suppose to be very easy/convenient compared to other decks from what Im told...

It comes down to opinions really... Ford or Chevy, Pepsi or Coke. Every brand seems to have an advantage (in one area) over another. The best things to do is find a local shop that stocks different models/brands, and play with them...

The reason why so many people jumped on the new Pioneers was that you didnt need the added BT or Ipod modules as with previous models. But with all our technology, what I cant figure out is how Pioneer can rush an entire line of in-dash NAV units onto store shelves without doing the proper due-diligence and quality control...? For the amount of $ they want for these things, you should be able to atleast make a BT call and understand the person on the other end!

I read on some other forums that getting a NAV update for the Alpine; well forget about it; they were making it difficult to get. Maybe they have changed their ways since last year, but something to think about.
