Hockey fans aren’t reputed for their class, typically. Clearly these ones aren’t very hockey smart either. McDavid is the one thing on their team worth watching for.

Not saying all fan bases are immune from things like this. But this was jumped on, and singled out as completely classless, by the greater majority of the fan base (that I follow).....very quickly!!

Anyone that would do this - to any player - in any City - regardless of your like, or hate for them.......is nothing more than a piece of shit!!

I agree with you. I think a few idiots can unfortunately make a city look bad. Sometimes Philly and Vancouver push the limits a little bit tho lol. Anyways, Pat O'Sulliven was talking trash on Edmonton and saying he wasn't surprised, as there are a lot of jackasses in Edmonton. So I dunno. A lot of ppl took exception to that comment and let him hear about it via twitter. I'd like to think it was more of a person thing than a city though.

 

Kids will be kids. The Leafs have been hot and cold all year. At this point they need to figure out how to play without Matthews when the lines get juggled.

My only real concern on the Leafs is Gardiners continued poor defensive play. If you look at the last 4-5 stat sheets he's been responsible for an extremely disproportionate amount of the turnovers. I'm not sure why Babcock leans on him so hard minutes wise over some of the other options he has. To me, Gardiner is turning into a powerplay guy.

They play 3 more times, im sure the Leafs will have a better outing next time. The Sabres are still 32 pts behind the Leafs in the standings, but its fun to beat our neighbors to the north no matter how the season has gone.
