My most recent build- no longer a stock Trek Farley 5! I love how the silver powdercoat looks next to the truck.

Get the add on EZ pull handle. It's a game changer.

Well the bike is chrome with red and the original seat was red so if you have anything red I'd be interested. More importantly I need a chrome seat post but I have to figure out the diameter.

This is an option too… I don’t have a topper, so I prefer mine up and out of the bed. These are also Rockymounts.

Can't decide between a north shore rack 4 and a kuat nv 2.0 it would be nice to have the option to bring 4 people and 4 bikes. Keep in mind its for the trd offroad dcsb and will be getting a bestop or soft topper in the summer

I am having this same dilemma but with a One Up tray.

I used a locally made shuttle type rack before and it was the tits, but its a big piece of real estate that it takes up both on and off the truck.

The tray racks are nice because they fold up and at least on the One Up, you can bolt on a plus 2 attachment. But they take longer to load when you have a few bikes, may have bike to bike contact, and a 4 bike rack is like 1000 feet long and always seems shaky on rough roads like the mesas in southern Utah.

I guess price isn't much of a factor though, since a decent tray rack with a +2 bolt-on is basically the same price as any of the shuttle type racks.

Honestly, if someone made a north shore type rack with a swing out option, I would just hand them my money.

Everybody I know with the Kuat NV's raves about them (and I can only assume the 2.0's are even more refined), plus you can get the +2 attachment.

I'm 100% getting the NV when my Taco comes in.

I'd get it from RakAttach here in Utah...Guy lives in PC.

The story is he sold the design to Kuat.

One problem with the 1up is that it perfectly blocks your license plate when in the stored position. My last car I left my 1up on it all the time because it didn't block the plate. I don't want to give the police a reason to pull me over by blocking the plate on the tacoma, so I'm leaving it off unless in use. bummer as it was so easy to leave on.

I see people all the time in UT that have them on 100% and the cops don't bother them.

That said, just like the my xmas lights on the bed and cab rack in the winter, just because the cop chooses not to bust you, doesn't mean they couldn't...

My Thule T2 rack blocked the plate on my Crosstrek & Tacoma. I was never pulled over for it in 3+ years. Hopefully it's not a big deal.

I did notice that 1Up makes a license plate bracket that mounts on the rack, so there's always that solution...

I did re-learn that 3-4 inches of powder is a mofo to pedal through. The uphills were slippy, but the steepish downhills were outright scary. I got off my uphill packed down track and nearly ended up on my face a few times.

    I went full fatbiker though.

But you can clean damn near anything on a skinny bike come riding season if you ride in the snow often enough...which of course I don't :(
