Thinking of this (I always used an impact driver- hammer type), I recalled similar finds as well as stubborn/rusted ones. Once you’ve stripped it, if you have a dremel - cut a straight slot for use of a thick blade screwdriver/bit. It’s your second bite at the apple. This trick also works on taper head (recessed) screws since the dremel cut wheel is round and will allow you to cut until you reach a depth that nears the head width. Pro-tip use those half used wheels for smaller heads.

Haha, I hope not! I've gotten decent on my colorfilling, heck if I did my Shift knob which the leather imprint was TINY, this gasshole shouldn't be to hard fill :)

Nope, used a hacksaw to start a notch, then a couple of files to get it the right size so the thread on the cap engages -- BTW, the material used for the Gasshole is TOUGH! Now my Stant (not "Slant") locking cap screws into the Gasshole. So I customized MeSo Customs.

I'm in the same boat. My 10504 fit but asked @mesojdm if he could make one a tad bit tighter - even gave him the caliper measurements for the cap. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a ver 2.0:fingerscrossed:

So when I made this I designed it around the stock gas cap(which I have) to fit perfect. Wasn't aware of this "stant" aftermarket locking gas cap(who steals gas anymore?! Srsly)
So now I am making one that has internal threads in order to fit these bastard caps. I like the OEM cap because it has a flat spot on the end, so it just presses into the gashole friction fit.
I guess you would take a file to the first ~1/2" of threads on the locking gas cap so it would have a flat shoulder like the stock cap..

It's not the fear of someone stealing gas -- around here, when the price got astronomical, they slid under the vehicle with a pan and a punch or battery drill, put a hole in the tank, and drained it out. That's because most vehicles nowadays (including our Tacos) have anti-siphon filler necks. The problem that the locking cap solves is the vandals, kids, or other idiots too cowardly to confront you in person putting stuff INTO your tank. Yeah, I know the probability is fairly slim, and I try mightily not to get people that mad at me, but the cost of a locking cap is cheap insurance. I haven't had a vehicle in a long time that didn't have a remote filler door latch, and putting one on the Taco would be a lot more involved and expen$ive than just adding a locking gas cap. That's my story, and I'm sticking to it ;).

Having a locking cap also removes the usual excuse that can be used by Toyota and gas stations when a fuel system problem arises in a vehicle . When a fuel injector goes bad or gets clogged up the first thing they come up with is someone put something in your gas tank because their gas was fine or our fuel injectors do not fail etc. . I can tell them sorry I have a bastard ,locked gas cap . Though it is a fallacy to think any solution is "perfect ", it is a very inexpensive stopgap and peace of mind .
I do agree that the Gasshole is a great product for the bastard "Stant" cap , but is also unnecessary otherwise.

Havent seen the slant, but how much slack needs to be taken up? If its a lot like 1/8 - 1/4", you can use some door sill edge protector and run it on the inside.
