Not really. Unless there’s metal found in cocaine, meth and other drugs of abuse. (I’m a forensic toxicologist in another world.)

Edit: So stand waaaaaay back! Lol

Here's my steel skids after 3 trips running blacks. Y'all better like this post, I just crawled on the ground for these pics. I definitely need to touch them up, kind of an understatement though at this point haha.

    That’s putting it VERY LIGHTLY.

My aluminum skids crumpled with light/moderate wheeling at Rausch.

I fucking haaaaaaaaaaaate rock gardens. Being in a manual, I’ll slowly creep over one, and then once I get over the apex go bouncing down the other side. Then rinse and repeat over every rock. Plus I start smelling clutch after a little bit since I have to feather it the whole time.

I wasn't looking to traumatize the guy. He does have aluminum. I wheeled blues before having full skids, and clanged and banged

Those are all from the winter wheeling season. I don't have a garage or driveway for maintenance... only on street parking here in philly. Couldn't afford a house with a driveway. It's been fucking cold and lately snow/rain. Paint can and has to wait. Cold weather and paint don't mix.

I'll snag some pics of my skids tonight when the truck is up on the alignment rack. Sad thing is that the alignment is off from the potholes and not wheeling!

So tires or skids? It won’t be both before July for the takeover.

I suggest double reinforced 5/16” steel skids for the kind of non-finesse wheeling that you do. :D
