I've done a mod or two
I put my 09 RoadKing and all three of my Dad's RoadKings on ours from time to time. No wiggles here, only thing I haven't tried it on is the Goldwing, but it's a Honda so It never needs service anyway haha

Bit late but my dad had that one and it worked well. He used it with his road king and ultra classic and it handled them just fine. Its actually at a decent height so once the bike was up he didn't jack it up all that often as he just sat on his little roll around chair.

which jack were you guys using? mine was the old yellow one. i would jack it us, rest it on the locking sections, strap it down and it still would tip over in either direction. i know mine isn't that much heavier than a roadking.

Holy chit, I've done a lot already!!
I broke down and got this. It's to replace two other "cheap" cabinets I have. Overall first impression is good, BUT it was damaged in a few spots. I'm not sure if it affects it's use, so a little disappointed in that. Heading back to the store tomorrow to see what they can do. I used the $299 coupon, so it was $326 after tax, with a free flashlight .

Why bother? If the tool chest works fine, what is a bit of a dent?

You will be putting dents and scratches in it over the years.

A bit of character is never a bad thing.

Idk, I realize it's "only" $300, but that's a lot of money to me. And when I buy something new, I'd like to be the first one to put a dent or a scratch in it. And it's 4 dents and a scratch that is already rusting. Just me I guess :goingcrazy:

That would be my choice of a tool chest from HF, I agree with you about wanting to be the first person to put a dent in a $326 purchase.

I really am impressed with the quality. Apparently packaging and handling is the issue. I didn't run up there today, so I'm curious to see what they do. Some of the drawers stick on the lock bar, and I'm wondering if that's due to the damage on the top lid. I'll update after I stop in the store.

So easy peasy. Called the store this morning, they said bring it in. I brought it in, the new one was out of the box ready to go. Swapped them out, headed home. Something was definitely messed up on the first one, as the drawers don't get "stuck" on the lock mechanism with the new one. Overall very happy. Next thing to do is swap the tools over and see how everything is. Like I said, first impressions are very good.

Thanks for the update, your story reminded me of one on YouTube when I was looking at reviews for the 26" tool chest, with improvements he made to his but might not be needed with yours.

Good video, thanks! I might be stiffening up the base, as it does wobble. It's empty currently, and I don't trust the concrete is level. I guess it's easier to do now that it is empty, and I have the material to do it. I'm not worried about the drawers, as all my drawers stay I think. Although I think it is a good cabinet, I did not expect a Snap On or Mac like he kind of seemed to. Unfortunately almost everything you buy is junk nowadays, but this is just cheaper junk

I have one. Of course I only use it in the winter to pull people out of snow Banks. Most times they are not stuck real bad, so it's not getting a huge amount of stress.

It's a nylon strap. Most likely the warn or other brands came from China as well.

With that said, most straps lose their life from getting cut. Not many actually snap while in use.
