Dogs.. many valid points made regarding responsibility.
It's a solid up to 15+ year commitment and deciding their fate at the end. Never easy ,as I've done it plenty of times.
    It's part of the deal.

Idk I have a rescue and a pure bred. Only gripe I have is that my rescue came with odd quirks I can’t train out of him. Terrified of loud noises, motorcycles, fires ect. He is a dick to obnoxious people, he will growl at anyone sketchy looking (not always a bad thing) but it really prevents us from walking him in anyplace with a crowd. Otherwise he is an awesome dog.

The pup was $1600 plus vet stuff and neutering. But i was able to mold him into what I wanted. As a puppy he went shooting several times (in a side room to protect his ears), through crowds, spent the 4th or July on sandyneck with fireworks and a bonfire. So now nothing startles him more than him tilting his head. But I figure that I budget 5k a year on the boat that I use for 4 months. The dogs give me much more enjoyment year round and other than the upfront cost it’s a pretty cheap luxury in the grand scheme of things. On vacation we leave him with friends or have someone usually college age house/dogsit.

    It’s an 06.

My friends mother just called me 5 minutes ago. They lost one of their dogs they had as a pair for like 15 years and want to get some new ones to give the older dog company. Found a pair of southern dogs coming up this weekend they want to look at, a nice brother and sister lab mix pair. Her dog isn't socialized and has attacked others before, so I'm going to take a dog over to their neck of the woods and try to see if we can't introduce it to other dogs and get it some new friends! Funny timing with this discussion going on.

Someone say dogs? These are my rescue Beagles, Chewy and Buddy. We got both when they were 8 months old. Chewy is a purebred Lemon Beagle, meaning no black on him, who we got off Craigslist as his owner suffered a traumatic brain injury and his girlfriend worked too much, so he needed a new home. Buddy is a Beagle mix, his papers say Beagle/Pug mix, he has the top of the skull like a Pug and a shorter nose than Chewy, but thats about all the Pug I can tell in him, definitely can howl like a Beagle. Buddy came from Connecticut Humane Society where he was surrendered by his previous owners, papers say due to a dog allergy, I say they abused him due to his reactions to loud noises and even raising your hand to pet him, makes him cower. Chewy is now 6 and Buddy is now 3.

I went through everything back there found three crumbling connections cut them back and re -soldered them, one wire was totally disconnected to the licence plate and nothing...still have the same problem. I even replaced all the blinker bulbs in case one was defective. Maybe the relay?
The left one comes on like a brake light that's what has me stumped...:frusty:

Yep. Just doing a Google search I found others with the exact same issue, I just can't seem to find the break, if there is one.

It will be small. I had to deal with breaking wires on my 88 pickup when I had it
