Yes there are universal overloads you can get or you can go the air bag route as well. If you are wanting to lift the truck there is always the option of a set of dakars, deavers, alcan custom, etc. The alcan custom could probably make you a set that carries more load but does not lift the truck. Some guys up in PA have been getting custom springs made by a shop up there.

The weakest link is the tailgate I'd suggest getting a steel taligate skin to add rigidity to the tailgate. Mine is bowed out a good 1" in the middle and needs replaced, as soon as I get a new one there will be a tailgate skin.

My leaf springs went flat after two 1,000+ lb loads. After towing once my leaf springs sqeek all the time.

There are several options for beefing up your suspension. Use it as an excuse for a lift and get dakars

Don't want a lift, don't plan to put anything in the bed heavy enough to need overloads. I'm done with modifying vehicles, this one stays like she is.

Just get some air bag helper springs or helper leafs. The other option is to call around to local places like in Raleigh Fleet Pride can make custom spring packs and/or a helper spring for you. Alcan and Deaver if you call them can do the same.
