Not the best picture, but it’s up in the left hand corner of the windshield on a vertical mount that’s offered from Ultragauge.com The wire is ran from the OBD plug-in, to behind the weather stripping by the side of the dash, and up behind the A pillar trim piece. I’m running the MX model so I can receive Transmission Temperatures. I like having it.

Dont know if it's appropriate to ask questions in this thread but here goes. Figured I would ask here before I start a new thread.

Has anyone on here with an ARE Overland shell put a metal or plastic molle system for storage inside? Was thinking inside on the bottom of the roof of the shell since I also keep my dogs in the bed of the truck and they stick their heads out of the windows.

Haven't purchased a generic panel and just screwed it in because I don't think there's much space between the headliner and the exterior top of the shell. Dont want screw tips or bolts punching through and poking up. If anyone has done something along the lines of what I'm describing or has found a different solution that works for conveniently accessible storage (since the open part of the window for the dogs is closer to the tailgate), I would like to hear of it.

I've uploaded some photos for reference. One has the windows circled, which open for the dogs to stick their heads out, so covering that up isn't an option I want to go with, but it also means that conveniently reaching in to grab something right there isn't really possible. Which is why I was thinking the roof. In the picture of the roof, I'm pointing at the line that shows the border of the section that looks thicker than the rest of the roof. This section drops down approximately a quarter inch lower than the rest/sides of the roof. Don't think it comes down a full half-inch.

The line of bolts you can see near my hand don't go up into the roof, but rather they come down from the yakima roof rack tracks on the top exterior of the shell. I would prefer not to use these as a guideline for bolt size since they may be a bit misleading coming from the outside in, and being seated in a track that sits above the level of the shell.

Yeah me too, I'll be installing my kit at my apartment complex as soon as I get 2 days in a row off work. I got new tires but liked the stock wheels so I ordered the vinyl black out kit for the stockers. Good luck bro and post pics when done.

I think we all need a TacomaWorld flag in our front yards. If my mail carrier sees me out front, expecting a package, and she doesn't deliver, she turns around after passing and comes back, because she knows that I already have a text that something is out for delivery.

    You said it !

Mine sees me all the time out front with a wet driveway, clean truck and a grill going.

Probably the exact spot I'll be in tomorrow when she drops off my the LED lights I'm gonna swap out for the factory lights.

Maybe I should offer her some wings or whatever else is on the grill. :smokertransformer:

Didn't do much with my Tacoma today.....other than finally complete the voice recognition BS so it could finally comprendé. Technology generally hates me at times.

I did go on a beer run.....that involved pizza, too. Can't get my grill-on today....raining like a cow pissing on a flat rock all damn day.

Meat Lovers for Teenage T-Rex, vegetarian type for his girlfriend and a thin crusted Supreme for the wife & I.

Relaxing day. Watching Hap & Leonard on Netflix. Feels good to chill after a 70+ hour workweek last week.

I upgraded to some off brand LED's a while ago and they have all worked fine but the dome light one has started blinking randomly when on. The VLED version for the dome light seems awfully large. When possible can you please confirm it fits fine?

My brother in law owns a body shop so it didn’t cost me anything. Not sure what it would cost someone to get the surround painted. I apologize. I wish I could be of more help. The grille itself runs about $250. However I caught mine on sale for $190

That’s how it was when I ordered my MX1.3 around two years ago. I also selected for them to pre-program it. Thanks.

    Very sharp looking truck.

What you've done so far looks great. You are gonna have to watch the folks around here carefully...... :quickdraw: Guard your cash because every single visit to TW will have you being tempted to buy more gear for your Tacoma.

    Fun trucks.[/QUOTE]

I see what you mean. Reading all of the post and seeing the pics is already wearing me down. May need to win the lotto to pay for everything though.
