I finally got my part for the snowblower. I replaces the auger belts and ran it to be sure it was good. Nope it started to ride the side of the pulley to the point that it wanted to run off the pulley. Laying a straight edge on the auger puller to the drive pulley showed it to be off by prob 3/8 inch. The auger is tight as well as bearings and shaft. The friction drive pulley lines up, it is just the auger that doesn't. I added a bushing to make up some of the difference so I can get thru tomorrow's storm and not throw a belt.

I'll check for you tomorrow. Any idea if they are the same as a Tundra? Does the car have a upper center console or a sunroof or anything?

My subwoofer in the regular cab died the other night. Investigation tonight a proved that slamming a pothole did in fact kill it. Same night my passenger headlight shroud came off. It was a good 6+ years and 3 vehicles!

Isn't that upper pully supposed to be pressed all the way in?

Yup. I added the black knurled piece to help with the pulley alignment.

Looks like your auger frame is off from the gearbox/beltbox frame by about an equal amount in the lower right of that first picture; are those two vertical bolts attached to a bracket that's adjustable for play?

My guess it the black plastic pulley that the friction belt is on has wear or the auger pulley is wrong.
Both sides are up as tight as possible. After this storm I will spend some time on it and the interwebs. I will report back

Not sure about the tundra. It has an upper console and a sunroof but the dome light is further back almost into the passenger seat. My FIL just bought one and the previous owner had a flip down DVD player installed there but he wants to remove it and reinstall a dome light

God I wish I could recognize any of those town names. Or even the shapes of the states. Too damn small, and so many similar names!

So my avatar is my dog...She will be 16 in March and has really been showing it lately. She's almost blind, deaf and senile. She went to jump on the couch last month when i had the Flu and didn't notice there was a black trash barrel between her and the sofa...and she jumped right into the barrel and couldn't resolve the situation....I swear if we were out we would have come home to the dog still in the barrel...It's getting close to "that time" but we are being diligent with her and as long as we can get her outside every 2 hours there are no issues...I sleep with a dog leash on my wrist so if she jumps off the bed in the night it wakes me and I can let her out. Oh the concessions we make...We were on vacation last week and I realized it had been a long time since I slept without a dog between my legs and a leash on my wrist.
