    Just 3 tons of fun!!!
Is it an actual mechanic, someone you trust... or just a guy who says he'll do it for $300?

I just did most of that list myself this weekend, there are quite a few things in there that can be fucked up if you're not paying attention to what you're doing.

It's not a "hard" job, but if he goes in there ham handed there's plenty of opportunity to screw something up.

    Nope, everything’s good in 2WD.

CV axles spin all the time right? Even when in 2WD? No manual hubs.

This is an actual mechanic not like the friend I had weld my sliders on. It's the shop my work uses for 22 fleet trucks they have. He said for 100 more he will do a oil change and radiator flush since he's halfway there. So it's going to cost me 400 labor and 550 for parts

Sounds good then... just lookin out

DEFINATELY have him flush it. I actually flushed mine before I did everything because I wanted to avoid running crap right in to my new waterpump, and radiator.

If it was just a random I'd do it myself just haven't done a timing belt myself before and have been working 6 day weeks so for the price he's offering im getting it done. He also thinks my boss is paying. So I might be getting my works discount, I also dropped it off today and all the parts and told him time isn't a issue if someone's fleet truck is down for my company or another that he works on. He just fixed my bad gas mileage plus not starting after sitting 2 days 7.3 diesel work truck issues, He's also currently rebuilding the transmission in my lady's 79 k10 plus installing a 1 wire lockup. Definatly a reliable mechanic and comes with a warranty when I bring my own parts.

marlin crawler used to have a nice kit that was a OEM clutch and parts but a slightly stronger pressure plate. LCE makes a lot of good ones too.

All done and spare on! Seems pretty solid going down the road but I can force some flex with my hands. Should I add more braces to the swing out? How much stiffness is expected normally? @Blackdawg @Digiratus

Sounds like a good deal then. That'll save you a bunch of time. At the price you're paying, that's a really low hourly rate because all that list is time consuming.

Mine move. The more stuff you put on there the more it'll move. Whats your latch setup like?

If yours is fine i wouldn't bother. A heavier fly wheel just makes the motor not drop in RPMs as fast.

Ya I agree he said it's going to take his main mechanic almost a full day to do it all and I believe it. Would probably take me 2 days or more
