So now that I have all these monster locomotive lights where can I buy a train horn because if someone doesn't see me coming then I better be prepared to announce myself.

LOL, I remember seeing someone post a dual horn setup (with upgraded horns of some sort) behind the grill...but I think it as for a 2nd gen. Might we worth searching for tho!

It was dual Cadillac horns from the 70's. There is a thread for that. I did order the xspeed amber led turn signal bulbs that others on here seem happy with. Did not buy resistors as many stated no hyperflash with these.

In the buy sell trade section there is a horn upgrade and the guy uses 4 Cadillac horns, form a 1970 series. Costs like a hundred bucks though. LOL

I want something that requires a compressor!!!! LOLOLOL

Kids! Thank you for the generous assumption my friend, but I'll be 56 in July. When I started drafting only NASA had computers. LOL. No, but I did learn by hand first, then on a computer. AutoCAD at the time came on a series of floppy discs and you had to load one, do something, take it out and load another to do something else, then take that one out and put another one in to erase the F Up, etc etc. My first 386 with 116 mb hard drive (cost extra for the additional space) was $2k and the math co processor was another $400 and the monitor was another $300. Now my phone is 2000x more powerful and has 1000x more storage.

Ha! I remember when blue prints were call blue prints because back then they were blue.

Yes I know. I worked in NC as a Manufacturing Engineer in the mid 90's designing parts and tooling and hand drafting cutter paths and then word processing cnc programs for cnc milling machines. Had a series of a/b/c switches to send the programs out to the shop and dispense to each machine. I shared an office with a very intelligent Austrian owner who had autocad. He was involved in the first cnc programming back in the late 60's. His philosophy was for me to utilize my math skills and learn work by hand. He wanted me to be able to walk out in the shop, diagnose production problems and repair on the fly with only my calculator. I learned a lot more about trig that way. He promised after 12 months he would give me autocad. 12 months later the partnership failed and the company went up for sale. Came back to VA and have been in QA or management ever since. Have not written a program or drafted anything in nearly 20 years. Who doesn't have cad now ?

HAHAHAHAHAHA, My channel consists of one video I did about 5 years ago and features my old Tundra, that I traded for the 4Runner, that I traded for this Taco. LOL

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ypUo14kJXzM

It was my first attempt at a video with my camera and YouTube. I plan on changing that with these LEDs I am installing though. I'm already in the planning stages and there is a business park / air park near me that has no lighting on the roads and plenty of large pole buildings that are light colored. Heck the hangars are almost white, so basically drive in movie screens from the ground up. The planes don't fly at night either. I may have to explain to the cops what I am doing but they should understand. LOL

Hell yea! Just watched. Super super cool! Definitely live every minute as if it's your last. We are only here for a fraction so never put anything on pause. Seems you already got most of that figured out though. Nice job!!

I can't wait to show them to you. Will start with simple pics first then the video will follow. I understand there is a new vendor on here undercutting the The Retrofit Source prices so maybe now's the time before that stops. I couldn't pass at $130. And I will be posting up my OEM fogs on the forum here for the cheap.

Anyway, gotta say again, great job on that vacation!

Now you need some Kings so that those blue rock lights are being put to better use!

    Hahaha

I don’t have Kings... a bit to high $$ for me, but I do have a $900 3” rough country waiting to be installed. Shocks and struts no spacers. Just waiting on funds for wheels and tires.

I know, I'm really stoked! I really like mods that have a lot of impact and don't cost a fortune. These LED mods are not cheap by any means but the benefit to cost ratio is very high. The fact that they improve performance and increase safety make them worth every penny. You definitely had a hand in the decision making process too so thank you as well. :hattip:

Man that's totally flipped out! Holy crap! That's definitely something I'm going to have to look into eventually. Man, can you imagine how cool that would look up there where you were skiing, reflecting in the snow!? That would be so cool. Yea, I like it a lot!

Way cool. I work for a civil engineering firm now, but for the last 42 years I've worked a lot of different jobs. Most of it blue collar. A lot of cooking. I enjoy food. I wish I had your math skills. It's never been my strong suit.

I know... I'm 'that guy', again. LEDs retrofit headlights decrease safety due to significantly reduced beam throw, reducing your distance night projection and therefore shortening your night vision reaction time. This is a significant hazard, do not mislead yourself. What you see is increased foreground light leading you to artificially believe you can see better than you can.

I know this is a 3rd Gen LED thread, so for some reason I apparently shouldn't talk about the how bad you are negatively affecting your own visibility or your safety. But, I have secured a 3rd Gen to show you the quantitative scientific facts between stock and LEDs for light source differences. Coming very soon.

In the mean time, if you want LED Headlights I suggest looking at:

Ok question....I tried a search but truck lighting is such a big topic it would take a month of sundays to find the answer so best to " re-ask"..lol......anyone know what the Tacoma's stock fog light output is?...when searching LED's you find fogs from 1000 to 7000 lumens....I want to keep it fairly close to output of stock..I understand color temp ,wattage all come into play...but what are most running that are close...I am guessing 1500 to 2000 may be close...but just a guess.
