Did some enamel coating on the shifter console to match the radio surround.

Thank you sir, It's spray on enamel, takes ages to dry but it's worth it, the finish is nice and smooth and glossy. I can take a picture of the can later for you.

If the noise goes away when you press the clutch look at the clutch system not the blower motor or a/c. It is more than likely the throwout bearing making your noise. I don't know who told you that nonsense. The a/c is only engaged when you turn the a/c on, and pushing the clutch in has nothing to do with the a/c engaging or disengaging.

yeah if you could that would be great! do you think it matches the radio surround perfectly? I put a 2015 touchscreen with that black surround in my 2009.

I had an oil change at a lube place in philly. naturally they pull every filter (and probably throw sticks and shit on it) and said I need to change it. I was reluctant, but had them change it. Every other time I said no dont, that I will change it myself, I never did.... hahaha

that was maybe 6 months ago

I'll try it out, eventually. It's been doing it for a while, probably since I bought the truck. I just turned the radio up louder.

If it isn't perfect is damn near perfect, my radio surround has a metallic flake looking paint so not perfect for me.

I like the enamel but just to glossy for me I'd like to find something to do with all this golf ball textured silver. I have a silver truck with grey interior and silver accents too much silver for me. Wet Okole eventually for the seats and then I don't know what to do abt the dash and center console.

Yeah I agree, that stuff sucks,I really wanted to paint that part too but that'd be a lot of gloss

Can you get the enamel in flat colors. When I think of enamel I think of the Testors paint for models and IIRC you could get that in flat and semi glosses as well.

I'm sure you can, I didn't find any at the hardware store I was at but I also wasn't looking for matte.

That's cool! but don't forget to go back to school!

Yeah forgot to mention that the noise is there only when the fan is on... And I didn't noticed it this winter, so might as well be A/C related...

If it's when the fan is on then it has to do with the blower motor but if the A/C isn't on then the compressor isn't activated. An A/C clutch that has failed in the engaged position will make a noise constantly even with the blower off. It still makes no sense that when you engage your clutch the noise goes away.
