KB Voodoo question, tonneau mounts and cross bars

is it possible to use the rack mounts that work with tonneau covers with the crossbars that angle in?

I’m trying to keep them low to the tonneau, only cover the front two panels (factory) and not angle straight upward but inward.

I would like to use the:
Bed rack tonneau cover brackets and the reversible crossbars.
So instead of the brackets standing straight up on the sides, they angle inward.

Look at the Pace-Edwards Ultragroove or Ultragroove metal tonneaus. They are the rollup style . They have a Thule short footed cross bar set available now and Pace Edwards is supposed to release a tall foot with cross bars in 3-6 months (like the thule truck cross bars with height adjustable uprights) . Just spoke with their rep today. It may be a Thule product since their parent company is tied into some deal with Thule.
The tonneau has a groove that is basically a t-slot. you could probably use toilet bolts as an anchor in the groove and bolt some structure to it if you know how to weld/fabricate. Or check out the Pace Edwards Utility Rig Truck Rack which looks like it slide in. IMPORTANT - THIS WILL ONLY WORK WITH ROLLUP STYLE TONNEAU. Folding ones won't work.
