    So I've been doing lots of reading about suspensions and trying to figure out what I want and I think I've narrowed it down to either Fox or King 2.5's with a Dakar leaf pack. It looks like both of those systems are rebuildable (are they all?) and thats something that needs done at least every 40-50k. How involved is that rebuild process? Is that something I could do myself once I learn wtf I'm doing or would I need to bring them somewhere special? I think I'll need UCA's as well if I'm getting close to or over 2.5. Any recommendations for those? Also, for the Dakar's should I be looking at the heavy or medium duty? Right now the only weight I have is a camper shell, but I'd eventually like to add some armor and possibly a bed drawer system. Will my ride be crap with the heavy duty springs if I'm not carrying weight?

    I'm running Light racing UCAs, Fox 2.0 on all four corners with Dakar leaf pack in the rear. My ride is pretty nice.
    UCA's you are going to have to decide on uniball or ball joint.

    I've heard the rebuild process isn't something that is impossible just need to learn how. I believe the biggest issue would be filling the nitrogen since you need a special tool to do it.

    Some people think the uni-ball gives more articulation.

    I went with Light Racing SPC like CalTacoma did. The actual arms provide articulation (more than stock) and the ball joint gives better articulation than stock as well. (I think they actually give better articulation than uni-ball actually)

    I like the SPC because the ball joint has a boot and a grease fitting... the uni-ball has an open joint where sand and dirt can get in... I believe they require more maintenance than SPC (with not a lot of benifit over SPC, if any)

    That's MY opinion... take it with a grain of salt, lol

    Less maintenance is always good. Looks like those are one of the cheaper options as well which is a bonus.

    The SPC also give you additional adjustabilty for alignment, which is good when you get in to bigger lift and/or tires.

    I had LR UCAs (balljoint) on my truck and recently changed to Total Chaos UCAs (uniball)
    the Uniball have considerably more droop

    EDIT - This was on my 2nd gen

    I just finished rebuilding a set of Sway-A-ways on my 1st gen, they make them for 2nd gen also
    and I'm probably going to rebuild my Icons in the next 6ish months
    I thought the rebuild process was really easy
